Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a bit, since I backslid into the above group, but now I'm moving down again. Was at 269.2 yesterday, which got me through my own personal 5# challenge, finally. Started the new one and am just going to keep working on 5# at a time. Baby steps

Good morning everyone! I haven't check in for awhile...sorry Shea, I'm doing babysteps as well...it's the only way I don't get discouraged. Weighed in at 255.4 this morning - it's been years since I've been in the 250's! This is exciting!!!!! Another 10 pounds and I will be able to zip up my wedding dress. (from 11 years ago, I try it on every year on our anniversary) I'll be swimming in it my our 12Th anniversary next April!

So moving down slowly, I got down to 263.2, but bounced back up a bit, so working to get down. Bloating from my cycle, so it's pretty easy to get back I think. Should hopefully be down again tomorrow, to close to that!

We've all been quiet lately!

I'm glad for all the successes, and wanted to say hi!

This is my goal for the next few weeks - I'm hovering anywhere from 245 to 260. I want that needle to stay under 245 with or without food in my belly. So I'll be hanging around here for a bit

Updating my post with my food diary stats for today...

Checking in - I hope some more buddies will too

Today is a fasting day for me - I'm doing 3 fasting days and 4 regular days as I've had really good results with losing and maintaining my weight when eating less a few days a week. I'm going to come in around 600 calories and I'm not honestly NOT even hungry today. I did have a bite of a brownie (a weakness) but it's because it was given to me by a student, I forgot it was a fasting day, and after a few minutes going back and forth, I squished the rest up in a napkin and threw it out. I want that dang Fit Bit at the end of June and I don't want to use a Boo-boo day when it's only May 31st!

Doing fine - the worst are the evening hours - already have a dinner meal picked out, taking a shower afterwards, and going to go work on lessons or my web-site afterwards. Keeping busy with projects instead of wanting to eat/snack or think about food.

Checked my weight after getting home - 247-ish. Not really out of the 250's though. Going to stick around here until I have a week's worth of readings not in the 250's.

Hi Dragonfly!! I hope to be on my way onto the next forum this week, however it's TOM the scale is a little sticky this week...I'm going between 249-251. I, too am doing low carb, but also doing low calorie as well, and I've really kicked up the exercise. When I say kick up the exercise, I started from being a total couch potato to doing the treadmill and kettlebell almost daily. For some, it's not a lot of activity, but it's a ton from where I started My husband, oldest son (10) and I are doing a 5K walk this weekend and are super excited! This is something new for us. My daily goal is to stay under 1000 calories and 50 carbs. This has become extremely easy for me to do, as I just completed 3 months since my plan began.

I've cut my caffeine in half in hopes of the scale moving again. I am doing everything right, following by the book so I am giving it a few more days and hopefully something happens. I log my food and I can't pinpoint what I am doing wrong besides the caffeine. I am having 1 cup of coffee per day with no sweetener and the rest of the day is water. I've done this plan a lot so I know what I can and can't have and caffeine was never a problem.

I too am exercising. I walk/run 4-5 days per week and I will be incorporating weights soon. I average 3.5km per day with a couple of days at 4km and one at 6km. It's been so hot here so hard to get up past 4km at the moment.

Nice to meet you!!

268.4 today! I really hope I'll be able to make it out of the 260s by July and I'm going to work extra hard for that!

I recently bought a stationery bike and I'm hoping to start exercising a little more everyday in hopes of building my energy and strength up.

I've also been trying to make it a habit of drinking water or sometimes hot tea if I start feeling a bit hungry after dinner. I used to snack a lot at night but I'm trying to be strict with myself about not eating anything after 7 pm!

The scale moved! 255lbs this morning from 258lbs the past 2 weeks. Now I will continue to only have 1 cup of coffee per day and I am cutting splenda out completely.

I am walk/running 5km tonight

Congrats, dragonfly!!

I weighed myself this morning after umm, using the washroom, and it showed 266.4! Is it best to weigh yourself after using the washroom for consistent results? I didn't realize it would make much of a difference! lol

haha! I am not sure!! I try weigh myself in the mornings before I step in the shower. My old trainer said if you haven't used the bathroom in a while, it can make a difference on the scale.

I am just starting and in the 250's so I was reading all the posts on this thread. I am hoping to jump to the 240's soon and will be happy to take it a pound at a time as long as I keep losing. Can anyone tell me how often there are weeks without a loss on this Ideal Protein? It does not seem too many folks have that issue if they stay OP, but I am wondering if your body at some point kind of shuts down? Any info is appreciated and if I am posting this in the wrong place please forgive me, very new to the whole "threads" thing.

I haven't been on the boards for a while and I miss the encouragement of seeing everyone's losses. I seem to have plateaued hard and I'm having a difficult time getting past it. I hope to see a good loss in the next couple of weeks. I was at 259.2 this morning after losing 8 pounds I had gained back. It feels good to have those back off and not have the same attitude I have in the past, which is seeing a small gain as a complete failure. I would like to be 249 by the end of July but that may be an ambitious goal. I will at least be working toward it so hopefully I'll get close.
