Good Friday Morning Everyone It's TGIF

Kukkie84 Sorry to hear about the stove. Did you try looking on YouTube to see if they had a video of were to find the parts on your stove? My father did that a couple of weeks ago at their home.

The dryer needed a part replaced and he looked on You tube and was able to repair it. Know this is a man that can barely figure out how to use a dryer lol. So I would take a look.

My managers finally off Jury Duty, now I can get back to my normal work schedule

Hope everyone has a great on plan weekend!

Happy friday Morning to Everyone!! Does anybody have fun plans for the weekend? I have to bartend tonight. Tomorrow my mom wants to go to an artfest. I am looking forward to the art part...all the food vendor there, not so much. But mom knows I am dieting and won't do anything to tempt me. I also have to do a thorough cleaning of my house. Housework is not my strong suit. Most of my weekends this summer wear spent with kids/grandkids home and I just did the bare minimum to get by. Next weekend my daughter will be home with 4 of her 7 bridesmaids, we will be attending a wedding expo next Sunday. Need to get the house looking respectable! Hubby said he was going to stay in the camper all weekend while we had a houseful of women!

Scale continues to move in the right direction, despite me not getting enough exercise in. My plan for the weekend is to get back to the gym, then stop afterwork at least 3 nights per week.

Nagazim That is great that hubby is on board with your diet! I currently make two suppers each night, one for him and one for me. Plus I make my lunch for the next day. My program calls for me to weight all my food before cooking, so even if he eats the same thing I do, I cook mine in a separate pan without and added oil and limitd seasons. And some nights when I just too tired to make an extra meal or I am having something he doesn't like, he gets a frozen dinner.

Martine The prep part is the worst of the procedure! When I was looking into baratric surgery, my doctor had said that many times people mistake thirst for hunger, so it makes sense that when you stay hydrated you were not hungry. On my current plan I am eating less in a day than I ever have, but I am hardly ever hungry. I think it is the combination of no processed foods or artifical sweetners and plenty of fluids.

Kukkie Sorry to hear about the stove. Have to you checked to see if you can just replace the element? Can you take a working element form another burner and plug it into that spot and see if it heats? Maybe you have tried this already. Just a thought.

lovemylife It is amazing the things you can find on Youtube. I have no idea what I did without it. Although, sometimes it give DH too many ideas and he gets in over his head.

Good morning, everyone Hope Friday is off to a terrific start. My weight has maintained for 3 days; neither up or down. I'm nothing if not consistent No real plans this weekend. I'm a huge college football fan so part of my Saturday is spoken for. It's also the final weekend before the classes begin on my campus next week. I will miss the quiet.

@Kukkie: Sorry to hear about your stove as well. And I am in full agreement that you need to come to a workable solution. While I could work with the pared down version you describe, I wouldn't want to do it for long. It's dangerous to get between a cook and their stove @KateB, I like your suggestion and problem solving skills. @lovemylife001: I second YouTube! It's been so helpful to me in many ways: iPhone, Microsoft Excel tutorials, cosmetic reviews. Geez, what can't one find on You Tube!

@Martine: with your colonoscopy today. I pray all goes well.

Nagazim: I would say LC is VERY good to you When I'm consistent and really have my head in "the game", LC treats me well too. Well done

@lovemylife001: Glad you're manager is back and I'm sure they are as well. I had jury duty several years ago and found myself sending late night emails and going into work after we were released for the day just to make sure things at work didn't fall through the cracks It was actually an eye opening experience but it does play havoc on a person's schedule and routines.

TGIF @ bigjoe: "Ate outside the box"...classic I need to integrate that phrase. No worries; you're losing pretty consistently and steadily. That weight will drop off in no time.

@love2b150: Small drops better than no drops, Rennie! Have a great weekend and thanks for the PMs (I know that looks like PMS , but I mean personal messages should anyone be confused )

So the colonoscopy is done. Thank you for the encouragements from so many of you, this group is so supportive. The final prep with the Citro-Mag was a lot better than I thought, the liquid I had to drink was tolerable. The colonoscopy in itself was actually a very easy procedure, I was surprised. But then again I was doped up lol. The nurse said that I would probably not remember the exam I would be so out of it, but actually I was awake for all of it. Always fascinating to see the inside of your own body. They took a small lump of fat to do a biopsy but the doctor said it was nothing to worry about and I'll have the results in about a month. But there doesn't seem to be any link to my endometriosis.

curvynotlumpy you were right, no weight loss from this at all. A girl could dream lol

Kukkie84 it sucks about your stove. You could always get an electrical countertop burner for now, less expensive than replacing the whole thing.

Nagazim and KateB great job on the losses!

So I'm still feeling a bit woozy, was dozing on and off all afternoon. Now trying to figure out what we'll have for supper. I didn't plan ahead, I didn't think I could eat so soon after the procedure. Looking forward to real food.

Had both lunch and dinner out last night, topped with a few martinis. Really really poor eating choices, and I'm now paying for it. Weighed in at 211.3 this morning! Ahhh. Okay, time for some insane buckling down. Less than a month to go until vacation.

KateB - Glad the scale is moving for you! Sorry you have to make 2 meals. What was happening with me is I would cook something healthy and dh would show up with take out. Of course the take out looked better so I would just blow my diet off. It was that or get angry with him which is a common emotion for me when I'm hungry. I told him the other day, "Do not talk to me about how you want to lose 30 lbs when all I see you drink is Mt. Dew." He has always been naturally athletic. Never had to question his weight before. With my 3 baby (around age 28) he started gaining a bit. Maybe 10 lbs for the year. Then another 5 over the last month until now it's noticeable. His diet has never been very good and he finally has decided to try it with me. I got him to about 2 yrs ago and he lost amazingly fast and muscles started popping back out everywhere. This is day 3 for us both and he's chugging right along with me. My house is very happy right now.

curvynotlumpy - LC has always done well for me. It's kind of unreal how much I lose so quickly. If only I could remember this feeling in the heat of a pizza take out moment. We love college football here too but are a house divided. DH is all for the Razorbacks. I love Old Miss!

Kukkie84 - I hope the weight flushes for you soon. Vacation in a month? How exciting!

MartineIt - Glad the procedure didn't knock you out too badly. Have fun at the park!

AFM: Yesterday was a really tired day for me. I'm feeling a bit better today so I have a lot of housework to make up for from yesterday. With 3 kids under 6, it never ends. Hopefully the energy holds out while I trudge through my cleaning list.

Good morning, everyone . Sunday again. Where does the weekend go Yesterday was a good day. Did tasks around the house and make white chicken chilli in my crock-pot. First time for making that and it turned out delicious. I'm still waiting on TOM; I'm on the very edge of perimenopause so my cycles are either on target or a few days early or late. All the signs are here so I'm just waiting Ironically, while I feel tired and bloated my weight has been going down. No complaints here

Everyone have a great Sunday

@Martine: I bet your breakfast must have been so satisfying after last week

@Kukkie84: Been there, done that! It's amazing what shows up on the scale after an off plan meal and/or drinks You've been so consistent though that you'll get right back on track and that weight will fall off again. Was today better?

@Nagazim: Knockin' it out of the park, sister It must make your day to see those numbers going lower and lower On another note, your Ole' Miss team did you proud. What a game My Huskers (Nebraska) didn't do so well but they did manage to score 23 points in the last 8 minutes and drive the game into overtime. We lost but it was still a thrilling game.

curvynotlumpy - not quite, up 0.7 to 212. So incredibly frustrating! Having a better eating day though, so I'm hoping the scale tells a different story tomorrow.

Hello Lovelies!

I'm struggling to find time to get online. October will be way less hectic!
I lost 2 lbs last week in total. It's good to be in the 220's.

Martine ~ really good to hear everything went well. Hope you enjoyed your park outing.....I'm betting Loki did!!

Curvy ~ White chicken chilli sounds delish! Always a treat to find a new recipe that ticks all the boxes first time.
I'd be lost without my crockpot. I delegate a five minute task to everyone within earshot some mornings (eg chop two onions, pick some herbs or brown some meat in a pan) then we combine everything in the trusty crockpot and come home to the house smelling wonderful. Just a further five minutes to cook some greens...and dinner is served!

Nagazim ~ look at those numbers - wow!
Awesome to have your DH on board with you, and long may it last!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend.

I have to convince myself to exercise. I only exercised once last week, I think I used the stress over the colonoscopy as an excuse. But now there is no excuse and I find myself battling my inner voice telling me not to exercise/do it tomorrow/you're maintaining so no hurry. I hate this (sigh).

Down 3.0 to 209. Not really considering it a whoosh, since it was bloat from bad decisions. Just need to keep it consistently going downwards.
