YAY winning15, the scale is coming down

Sunshinie

lovemylife, glad you had a great day off yesterday YAY to you on prepping all of your meals. Would you mind coming here to do the same I keep thinking if I go on Nutri-systems or any plan that the food is prepared for you for about a week I'd do better. But I can't afford that.

Curvy, I think that is what I do sometimes without thinking (IF) but then I mess it up and go on a binge I really need to get past my lunch time. If I can do that them I will have much success. That is my fall/failure time, smh.

Kris, that's when I use to nap also, when the kids did because they will surely wake you up when they get up

Kalymarie to the thread Glad to have you Are you following any particular eating plan? Best of luck to you on your goals.

Martine, your efforts will pay off, I'm sure of it Good job on the work out

Kukkie good job on the scale moving I too am tired of my clothes not fitting the way I want. I just feel ROUND ... so not good.

LGW, I wonder if that's what I do is mistake dehydration for hunger. They say we should drink a full glass of water before we eat and I know this but never do it. I like your notes to self

Well the scale is moving. I'm down to 173.2 and I am truly not sure how. I have not eaten OP once this week after breakfast. No matter what I try I still blow it where my eating is concerned

202.1 lbs for the second day in a row! Hoping for Onederland so soon. Only eating my shakes so I am guzzling the water today, figuring I have some things to flush out. I also tend to save my last two packets + 2 cups of daily greens for an evening "dinner" and I think I am eating them too late to see what I want on the scale the next morning. I still haven't figured out when to eat when I am fasting. I tend to save things until the end out of fear that I will be hungry, then find I still have 3 items to eat before bed. I think I need to eat a bit more earlier in the day. Guess that is probably a good rule for post-fast habits as well!!

THIS^^^^ Thank you, Kukkie You've so eloquently stated everything I'm feeling!

@LGW: Preach it! As the adage goes, "you can't out exercise poor eating habits!" And oh, how I've tried

I finally moved my ticker to reflect my actual weight. I don't know what I was waiting for. As if one morning I'd jump on the scale and it would magically read 189 pounds No weigh in today. Woke up very late and took everything I had to get out the door and make it to work on time!

SW: 205.6
GW: No goal weight. Just want to see the scale keep moving down.

Week One:
Aug 1: 205.6 lbs.
Aug 2: 204.8 lbs. (-0.8)
Aug 3: 205.0 lbs. (-0.6)
Aug 4: NWI

Day 2 of my 8-week Scentsy Fit Club challenge. Today's goal: 30 minutes of exercise.

I went straight home after work last night and didn't do any driving (was in bed by 9:30). I had some ground beef I had thawed out to cook so I decided to make a big batch of meatballs to freeze. Because of my crazy schedule I don't have a lot of time for variety in my meals. I made enough meatballs for at least 12 meals. I spread the cooked meatballs out on a cookie sheet and froze them. Tonight when I get home I'll put them in a freezer bag so I can just pull out what I need. Made lunch today super easy. Two meatballs, some romaine lettuce & Roma tomato, along with 1/2 of a cucumber. Delicious. Tonight I'm going to add some pasta sauce to a few meatballs and have it over some shredded zucchini (faux spaghetti).

Today I wore a dress that I've only worn one time and that was in December 2010! Pretty excited about it. I tried it on about 3 weeks ago and it didn't fit. The last time I wore it I had to wear a shaper under it . . . today, no shaper. Please ignore my super white legs (they match my white hair). It actually looks better in person than it does in the picture.

This is just my experience but I found I actually sleep better when I eat more calories in the earlier part of the day and less in the evening. Likely it doesn't work for everyone like that but I read that improved sleep leads to more weight loss (regardless of calorie intake). Other people find not eating before bed gives them insomnia - so I guess it's a personal thing, but probably well worth experimenting with. I'd be interested to hear what you notice if you switch things up!
Hope the water makes a difference too and you get to see a (well earned!) loss very soon!!!

@MadeToThrive: Your smile says it all! What a wonderful and stylish achievement. And that is a super cute LBD (little black dress)! Big thumbs up to your dinner as well. I'm a huge carnivore and my past weight loss success was directly related to the kind of meal that is in your photograph.

Kris ~ You've got shape going on without a shaper!! You look so happy and healthy.
WTG on the pre prep of weight loss friendly meals too!

Winning15~ Congrats on the new low weight!

love2b/Rennie ~ Enjoy your mystery loss!

Kukkie and Curvy ~ Count me in the round 'n fed up club too! Let's continue to plot our escape...

Wednesday morning here. I need to do better with water today!
I've been able to pre-prep as well. I made a 4000 calorie dish and, most importantly lol, divided it carefully into ten portions. I froze the portions before I started any fast days. I just thaw one overnight and add another 100 calories (veges and usually a few walnuts) and that's me set for the fasting day. I eat all calories at breakfast. Today is the first fasting day where I have significantly extra in my schedule and I won't get home later until after dark. I plan to take a flask of herbal tea with me so I'll have something nice and hot to sip if hunger pangs should strike....There's lots of calorie laden, treat food where I'll be spending my time today. It'll be a true test.

Weigh in day for me! One week on the diet, and I've lost 6.8 pounds! (That's according to the clinic scale, which is different from my home scale.) I don't expect that rate to continue, and I know it's not uncommon to lose big in the first week, but I'm super excited about it! One thing that has been amazing for me is to realize how used I was to just snacking during the day. It's been hard to get used to not just eating whatever I want, whenever I want. Off to try Day 2 of Leslie Sansone's 30 day challenge now. Day 1 was yesterday, and I had to modify some of the jumpy stuff she put in, but I got thru it.
Oh, and someone posted an recipe for Pad Thai using zucchini "noodles" on my Facebook page that looks amazing! I love me some pad thai, so I'm going to try it some day this week.
I love looking at everyone's ticker, and seeing all that great progress. You are all so inspiring to me! Many of you were close to my starting weight, and just look at where you are now!

Kukkie84 good for you for planning your meals. I found that for me, this has been the key to healthy eating. And to answer your question, no we dot not have the civic holiday in Québec.

MadeToThrive you look beautiful in that dress! Isn't it great when a fave piece of clothing fits again?

Off to exercise now. Have a nice day everyone!

Down 0.2 to 206.6 today. Could have been much better, but I absolutely cheated and had a McFlurry today. What was I thinking? Quite honestly, I wasn't. In any case, I made sure the rest of my day wasn't a total wash. I have good foods and water lined up for today. Just need to stick to the plan.

Hope everyone is set for a wonderful day. And Kris, you look fabulous in your dress. Reminds me of you in your red dress for the ball.
