Sunshinie, I'm willing to do just about anything to get my head back in the game. You know if your belly were liquid free you would have probably weighed even less Keep up the good work

lovemylife, I use to do 3 mile walks. It really did help. Nice eating habits you have. They will definitely pay off I'm sure.

redkorn sorry about the up. Probably just water, it'll be gone in no time

Candid, no I haven't started them yet, but I have 3 of them. Hopefully starting the one mile will help me push me to do a little more.

Martine love your energy, hope you're having a great day

HaveDogWillDiet ... definitely can't let the number ruin your day ... gotta press on and hope for a better weigh in tomorrow

Kris, oh my goodness ... I remember working two jobs to pay off bills. I did it for a year. I feel for you YAY for challenges Have fun

Well my phone has not updated my weight and I can't remember what the end part was so I'm gonna say it was 173.6. Not bad I guess. I'll update it when it registered. It took two days for the last weigh ins to record. I tried to eat properly today but my sweet tooth got the best of me. It's still early so I have time to pull'er in and get it together

Happy Monday! Here's to a great week! Three weeks from today, I go back to work for the 2015-2016 school year. On the positive side, it will be easier for me to control what I eat when I'm not home all day. And I love my students--I work with special needs preschoolers and they are the CUTEST!
I saw a couple of people mention the Leslie Sansone DVDs. I love her, I have the 30 day challenge one that I intend to start soon. When I was younger and in much better shape, I also did Kathy Smith. She is still making DVDs, but she is close to 50 now (still looks awesome, I kinda hate her for that, ) and her DVDs are geared toward us more "mature" ladies now. I had a couple of them, but lost them when we had a house fire last year. Exercise is hard for me, too. But I DO feel better when I do it, just not very motivated to exercise.

Happy Marvelous Monday Everyone

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. I have the day off and the weather has been perfect. I woke up early and did my workout and then cooked dinner, ran some errands, now I'm just relaxing.

I like my job, but I would love to know what retirement felt like lol. Oh well, I'll find out some day, huh!

I have been on plan today. Today is my fast day and it's going great. I really love the activity of this thread and everyone's so nice.

Well enjoy the rest of your day everyone!

@Sunshinie: Thanks so much for your encouragement Your comment gave me a chuckle. I've been at this weight for a better part of a year and you'd think seeing, KNOWING, I was a mere 5 pounds from onederland would be all the motivation I need to just lose it already and move on to another goal! Nope I have found all sorts of ways to self-sabotage myself and remain circling this particular drain.

@Rennie: The shakes are a good way to go and I've thought about this myself as a way to jump start my efforts. The last time I lost a significant amount of weight I did so steadily and with pretty good nutrition. That said, there were days where I would eat only dinner or maybe follow a very light breakfast and lunch with a big plate of steamed vegetables for dinner. I know now that this is called intermittent fasting and lots of people do it with great success. I wasn't purposely starving myself, only trying to be more conscious of my true hunger and satiety. I see the shakes serving a similar purpose.

@Madetothrive: I don't know how you do it, but I sure admire the heck out of keeping sane with all the driving. I hope you're getting good, uninterrupted rest. You need it for all the road travel and time with the grandkids.

@Candidcamster: You've been doing wonderfully! I read another of your posts on a different thread (I think) regarding fitting into new jeans How great does that feel?!

Fantastic to have a couple of lovely walking companions to help you make the most of your weekend! That's gotta take the sting out of not being able to plank (yet!).

Thank you. I am making sure I get enough rest that I'm safe for driving and for taking care of the grandkids (if they nap - so do I )

Hello! I'd love to join this thread for some accountability this month. I'm just taking up my weight loss journey again from a few years ago when I was losing before my wedding. Since then I have had a baby, bought a house and my weight has been on a steady incline. My goal is to lose at least 10 lbs this month, increase my workouts and decrease how often we eat out.

Sw:288.7
Gw:278

1. No weight
2.
3. 288.7 Ate fast food today, not off to the best start
4. 288.1
5. 287.4
6. 287.0
7. 286.7 (-2 lbs)

winning15 great start to the month for you!

MadeToThrive I don't know how you do it all?!

I got up again before work to exercise. Almost didn't do it this morning, but the fact that my weight hasn't moved at all frustrated me into working out.

1: 236.2
2: 235.8
3: 236.2
4: 236.6

Hiiiii my friends

Sounds like everyone is off to a good start this month. Long weekend over for me (Martine, you guys don't have Civic/Simcoe Day in QC, right?), back to work. The wedding is also over; I'm exhausted from it. That all said, I'm resetting my mind, going back to meal prep and gonna bang away this weight. I'm tired of feeling tired, I'm tired of feeling like crap, and I'm tired of not having my clothes fit the way I want them to. So here's to a new month.

Started off this month with a gain: ended July with 207.8, Aug 1 I was 208.7, but happy to say I'm now down to 206.8.

Good Tuesday Morning Everyone

It's such a beautiful day today

Martine on doing your workout this morning. I'm sure the scale will move for you soon. Keep up the good work, it will pay off!

Kukkie84: I did the same thing. I made my menu for the week this past Saturday and prepped all of my meals, so I have no excuse not to eat on plan. Good luck, you can do this!

Martine: Don't let the number on the scale be your only way of measuring your progress. How are you feeling? How do your clothes fit? The scale will move, just don't give up!

Total July loss: 4.7 lbs
Aug Start: 213
Goal: I'll take anything less than 206!!

OK...note to self...you cannot exercise and eat what you want! I gained 4 lbs the day after a hike?? I think I mistook dehydration for hunger...and I did not eat healthy...(have to stay honest)...I'll have to hydrate myself back down to 212...I'm still shocked at how rapidly I gain weight now...however, delighted at how hydration will take me back down...committing to exercising my next 3 off days...

1~213
2~212.8
3~216.6
4~217.6 (+4.6)
really hungry the last 2 days...I think it's dehydration...
food take a break...water you're up!
