LGW you look awesome chica! I gained .4 overnight, I suspect it is because I chose to have dinner really late, and sometimes that can affect the next day's weigh in. I came in at 216.8 today, I am hoping for 215 in a week, on the 13th of August which marks a year and a half on my weight loss journey *WOOHOO* lol.

What a delightful bunch!

I'd like to join you. I began August at 223.1 pounds and have not been below 220 in 2 years, but also not been above 232 either. Stagnate for sure.

Exercise yesterday at Gym on recumbent bike and exercise machines for a hour, steps at end of day over 6,000. After many active days today was definitely a rest day and my old knees appreciate that rest.

Concentrating on using South Beach Diet and using walking, gardening and gym at least once a week to try to get weight lower.

Several have mentioned the need to get extra sleep - I do too. Making it a priority to go to bed earlier tonight, get up and walk before it is too hot tomorrow.

Thanks for offering this August check in.

Happy Friday!

HaveDogWillDiet--great news--Onederland! I love your screen name, by the way. I have two rescue dogs myself, they are completely nuts, but I love 'em!

Martine--Yay, a loss!

I'm a little irritated--according to My Fitness Pal, I went 250 calories over my goal yesterday. To be honest, I felt that I had done much better than that. There was the Boy Scout meeting from 6:30-8:45 and they served pizza, which I didn't eat. I had eaten a protein snack before, but needed an actual dinner, so I went to get a Grilled Chicken salad from Califonia Tortilla because it was 9:15 by the time I drove home and I didn't want to take time to cook something that late! I guess that's what drove me over the edge, even though I took the guacamole off before I ate it. It was probably the Honey Lime dressing, guess I should have used my homemade Italian. Ugh! Well, back on track today, hopefully. At least I have gotten a workout in each day this week--I alternate power walking with strength training.

Sorry for the small vent. I'm actually feeling pretty positive about everything. One small NSV: my ankles are no longer swollen most of the time. YAY! That's something to celebrate after only 9 days of improved diet and exercise.

Have a great weekend, everyone! I think it's gonna be a hot one here on the East Coast!

tam67green Skipping the pizza would be a huge accomplishment for me! So hard to say no to free pizza! And then you took the extra step of trying to find a salad and taking the guac off! Even if you were 200 cal over, you made a good decision, making it closer to being a habit....celebrate that!

Martine I can't wait to wear some of the things I wore just last year, smh. Martine, could your calories be too low? Maybe try calorie cycling ... just a thought. Hope the scale moves for you soon Nice job on the new cardio and nice move on the scale. You've got this

winning Good job on the new low

Hi Amber to the thread ... Yes ma'am it will stick

LGW, LIKE! looking good I like your top

Kris, I'm loving your confidence and determination. I believe you have found what works and you're gonna see it through, GO YOU Can't wait to see your goal reward hair cut Aw, the grands are a great inspiration
Kris re comment yesterday Hope you're smiling

Curvy, this is so me --> I keep complaining about being sleep deprived but it's up to me alone to get to bed at a decent time. I'm working on it and I hope you are too

tam good job on your weight loss the first week, GO YOU RE: jumpy stuff, I always have to modify that ... my knees start to bother me an then that up and down stuff wears me out so if I try to keep it up, I am done in the beginning I remember those days with Cub/Boy Scouts and Daisy, Brownie/Girl Scouts fun, fun, fun Good job on passing up the pizza but tam just my suggestion ... the next time eat the toppings off two slices, all protein and pretty filling, that way you won't eat so late. That's what I have done and do, and I throw the crust away quickly because I love love the hard edge and vent away my Dear that's why we're here Great NSV and Yay for not allowing anything to derail you. I'm from the DMV ... I miss it most of the time. We lived in Stafford before moving down here

Amber, to the thread it's never too late to join YAY for walking. It worked wonders for me

HaveDogWillDiet, Onederland here you come LOL, HDWD ... Kukkie and I use to weigh ourselves a few times in the morning for that same reason because our scales were so funny acting. I finally got a new scale and I think Kukkie did also? But before that we would always take the highest number that way tomorrow usually looked better ... I didn't edit my post so see ... on reaching ONEDERLAND

Sunshinie, looking forward to a little cooler weather Good job on your eating .. I'm catching up so this is late re: fasting or not day, you hung in there

SmallSteps good to see you

Kukkie Mc Anything messes me up, smh. I have to ban that place when on this journey. good job on the scale and the reminder of chugging your water

Candid, and you will see that 215/lower ... Go YOU Can't wait to share your joy when you hit Onederland

love2garden, to the thread love your plan, sounds great

Ok my turn

I haven't been doing well with my eating at all. I have been eating what I want everyday after work and I know that is a but I've been doing it anyway. My wedding rings were so tight I could barely get them off this morning. I have been drinking lots of water today and I decided to do that Military Diet to hopefully have a little organization for a few days since every plan that I have come up with has gone out of the window. I don't know if this will work because those of you that know me know that I have tried this several times over the years and have never made it pass day one and it's only a three day thing, smh. The good thing is this time I have everything for it here except the cottage cheese and the vanilla ice cream. What may keep me motivated this time is my son. He has challenged me to lose 4lbs. We will see who can do it the fastest. I actually want to lose 5.4lbs which will get me back down to 169. Let's hope ... Today's weigh in was 174.4

Weigh in day here. I lost 4 pounds this week!
I have the weekend off fasting. Concentrating on sticking to approx 1400 - 1500 per day including a good breakfast, and not eating too late. Plus water...water...water!

HaveDogWillDiet ~ yay, congrats on the 199!!

I'll write more personals later...helping master 11 with some cooking and I smell something burning!

Happy weekend, or almost weekend everyone.

Good Saturday Morning Everyone

Today was weigh in day. I'm holding steady at 147.8 TOM decided to show up early and is messing with my scale lol. That's ok, I'm hoping for a whoosh once it's gone.

Sunshinie your plan is so similar to mines. I do the same thing on the weekends and really enjoy not fasting lol.

Hope everyone has a great on plan weekend!

HaveDogWillDiet huge congratulations on reaching Onederland!!!

tam67green great job on working out each day this week.

Sunshinie another 4 pounds down, your plan is really working.

love2b150 I don't think my calories are too low. I never go hungry, have full, well-balanced meals and fruits and veggies as snacks. I think my weight loss is slow perhaps because I am on depo and I have restless sleep? Don't know. Thank you for your suggestions.

It's going to be a sunny and perfect weekend here, so planning long walks with hubby and the dog again, as well as my usual workout plan. Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

1: 236.2
2: 235.8
3: 236.2
4: 236.6

Sunshinie, nice work, good job on the 4lbs GONE

winning it's coming

lovemylife TOM showed up early for me also, this is the second time ... I'm super bloated so I'm hoping for a nice whoosh when ever it leaves also. The only good thing is it's pretty lite this time around

Martine it's moving now and that's what matters

I'm down 1.2 hoping to continue the downward trend. I have decided that I want to be 20lbs down by 12/31 and then 20 more lbs down by my 50th birthday in April. I think that's doable ... or I hope I can come close to it. Hope I can get'er done
