I'm going to join, since I've never done an accountability thread before, but it can't hurt me! I would like to loose 6 lbs over the course of April and limit my eating out (there is too much going on this month to completely eliminate it), as well as make smarter choices when I'm at restaurants! I'm going to use this thread (and be inspired by everyone here) to help keep me accountable!

I'm in. One more way to keep myself accountable. I'm adding a goal as well. I'd love to lose another 12 lbs over the course of the month. I say 12 just to firmly get OUT of the 250s. LOL! So April start is 260, and by April 30 I'd like to be 248. We shall see!!

April 1 : 260. Walked 3 miles. Food was good. Water could have been better.
April 2: 259.2 Water better. Calories OK. Didn't do any exercise, though. Getting house ready for company & ran out of time. TOM
April 3: 259.2. I need to plan better when I have plans with friends. NO exercize. Still TOM
April 4: 258.8. Walked 4 miles. TOM still going. Today is a sort of cheat day. Going out with friends to celebrate my birthday so I know I will have extra liquid calories.
April 5: 257.8 TOM is over. Spent today doing the Easter thing with fam.
April 6: 258.4. I feel awesome after having several days in the 250s I feel like I'm over a hurdle. I spent longer than I wanted bouncing back from 260-263 ish. Now I'm happy to be out of there!! Walked 2 miles. Intended to do 3, but got SUPER shaky for some reason
April 7: 258.4. Did 30-40 minutes of cardio dance. I have little to no rhythym. lol! But it was fun, and I was working off some calories for sure. Was sweating.
April 8: 257.4. I do believe I am firmly out of the 260s! Yay!!! Walked 3 miles
April 9: 256.6. Feeling really good about myself!! Calories were good. Gave myself the night off of exercise. I try to do that once a week or so just to avoid feeling burned out.
April 10: 254.6. 2 lbs dropped in a day....not normal. I'm guessing it will be back up in a day or two. BUT, I am still in the 250's and making my way down. I know every day won't be a down day, so I'm preparing for it to jump back up a little bit. Taking my son out tonight for a mommy & J dinner date. I have already scoped out the menu and found something on the healthier side. No exercise today. I did stick to the healthier options at dinner. BUT...at lunch I splurged calorie wise on a small shake. It was good...IDK about 700 calories good though. :-/
April 11: 255.2. I knew it would be up just from yesterday's 2 lbs down overnight. I had planned to go walk first thing this morning. I wanted to do 4 or 5 miles. But, it's raining. I hope it ends soon enough for me to go. I wish I had a treadmill at home. Ended up doing Leslie Sansone 3 mile HIIT video
April 12: Didn't weigh. gave myself somewhat of a day off. No exercise but not a total free for all, food wise
April 13: 253.6. A coworker who has been out on medical leave returned today and noticed my loss. Yay!! No exercise. I need to remember to focus on me, and not just my social life. lol. Went out with someone last night instead of going to walk.
April 14: 256.8. Ugh. I need to get back on track. No matter what. I have to do this for myself, and if the guy I am seeing doesn't get that, I need to either explain or back off of him. Walked 2.5 miles
April 15: 257. Damn it!! I wouldn't think that slacking on exercising would cause that much of a jump, but I guess it did. I am so tired of this up and down BS. Did a small walk, less than half a mile. I really need to learn to find a balance.
April 16: 257.6. Up again???? I don't know what's going on. It's not TOM. I haven't eaten horribly. I need to have a long talk with new BF and tell him to start kicking me if I don't do my walking and/or DVDs. Walked after work. 3 miles
April 17: 256.2 Well, it's going down a bit. I just need to keep plugging on.
April 18: Walked 4.65 miles
April 19: Walked 5.06 miles
April 20: 257. I'm so frustrated
April 21: 255.6.
April 22: IDK. Sick
April 23: 253. Did 5 miles of walk away the lbs dvd plus some work with the 10lb kettlebell
April 24: 254.4. Not going to hit my goal of 248 by the end of April.

My new start date is 12/29/14...and I'll keep up this lifestyle forever, so my son will never know an obese mother and he will make healthy choices too.

Thx for the April thread.

Started yesterday off healthy and then last night I bombed with ice cream and cookies. Hopefully I can make today rock. I finally put my fitbit back on and I'm logging into my calorie tracker apps today. That's about all the added stress I can handle. Some point in April I'll weigh in.

For right now, let's see what I can do today.

I was doing a search for old posts of mine (when I came back a few weeks ago I started a new profile . . . fresh start) so I could compare and see my numbers. I was really surprised when I saw this post: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/4978110-post96.html


This brought tears to my eyes "Remember Kris (MamaP) and that red dress she wore to her sons wedding. She rocked that dress." It was the Marine Corps Ball that I wore that dress for. I have a picture of me in that dress taped to my computer at work. I'm working on getting myself back into that dress. I'm getting closer.

I was going through old posts because I wanted to see where I was in terms of lowest weight/when/etc. It was very bittersweet going through old posts. I re-read some of the posts I wrote when my mom had her stroke and then when she died 3 weeks later - felt like yesterday reading them. It was rough reading how many times I said "I'm back!" "I'm refocused!" Etc. But, no more looking back with sadness/shame. If I look back it will be to learn from my mistakes. Today I am at my lowest weight in 4 years (231.8). Even though I'm still 20 lbs heavier than I was when I wore that dress (even though I was only at that lowest weight for about a minute - seriously I think it was less than a week), I'm okay with that. I'm going in the right direction. I still have that dress. I was going to sell it, but I've decided I'm going to wait. I'm going to get back into it - I'll sell it after that.

Happy April!

Today's weight (4/1) - 225.4

Last night my boyfriend and I made weight countdown charts including a page dedicated to goals and rewards (I might have gotten the idea from Pintrest haha). So far it's really motivating me. I loved getting to cross off a box this morning. Woohoo!

Weekends are always my hardest days. I have too much down time and tend to overeat and under-exercise. Hopefully this thread will help keep me a bit more accountable!

I am powerful You are doing great. Posting everyday may be all you can do but it is a big thing. You aren't letting go of you, your health, etc. Hang in there and know that we are all here for you.
