Well things aren't going as well as I hoped this month but the scale is finally going the right way.
CakeGirl75 - I've also noticed a HUGE change in my skin since I started drinking my 32oz of water a day. Such a pleasant perk to this whole diet thing.
My results so far this month:
1. 251
2. 252.8 (well that's not how I wanted to start the month)
3. 252.8 (well at least I didn't gain, and I had some chocolate last night due to TOM coming)
4. 252.4
5. 251.2
6. 250.0
7. did not weigh in
8. did not weigh in (weekend away, was afraid to see the damage)
9. 252.4 (there is the damage)
10. 251.8
11. 250.8 (soo close to the 240's & 25lbs lost)
Getting water in is hard. My dr told me last week to drink 4 quarts per day. And he took me off of my diuretic. My feet are so swollen! Hopefully when I go for my weigh-in tomorrow he will put me back on the diuretic. I'm nervous about the weigh-in so wish me luck!
217.2 today! I'm eating a lot healthier and now I need to add in some exercise again. So glad to finally be back on track after a few months of not losing
3/2: 226.8 Water aerobics class, 25 minutes of jogging and 10 minutes of walking
3/3: 225.8 Water aerobics class
3/4: 226.4 TOM
3/11: 226.4
3/12: 225.0
I was down 1.5 today. At least it is a step in the right direction. I thought it would be more considering how good my week has been. I'm heading out of town tonight for the weekend. I hope I can maintain. Welcome to the 240s! Yay!
Oh, and my work friend and I did a 1.36 mile walk yesterday in 25 minutes. It felt great getting away from my desk and out in the fresh air. I haven't done much physical activity in so long, I was sore later in the day. Oh my.
And, on a personal note, I have an unexpected phone interview this morning that came up out of the blue. It's for a job I applied for in 2011 and really wanted at the time. Wish me luck.

I went to the dr today and I 'only' lost a pound and a half. I say only because he says people lose 7-10 pounds the first week. He kept asking me if I stayed on the diet and I kept saying yes. He thinks I was maybe dehydrated when I started and that I have lost weight but it's been replaced by water my body needed. He said I would see a bigger loss next week.
Up 0.6 to 196.0. Didn't have enough water yesterday and definitely not enough movement. I had every intention of going to the gym last night, I was pumped for it. And I crashed instead. I guess my body's way of telling me I also need to rest.
Finally some some decent results that past few days now that TOM is gone. Feeling awesome.

13. 246.8 (-2.8 lbs in 1 day?? Thank you TOM for going away)
Since starting my carb cycling plan I have been dedicated to drinking the 1 gallon of water a day(well almost a gallon, I am usually about 16oz shy of that mark)...although I feel like I am drinking water from the moment I wake up until the moment I go to bed, it is doing great things inside my body and I can see a difference in my skin.
Wonderful! Just think of all the extra steps you get going to the ladies room.

How did you get started in water aerobics? Do you need to be a strong swimmer?

Everyone is different and I am surprised your Dr was grilling you like maybe you really didn't try. Please be proud of yourself and your results. I am proud of you.

Back from my mini work trip. It went fine, tons of opportunities to eat fruits and veggies, but I realized that skipping meals did not help me at all. Back on plan now and happy about it.
It's nice to read about everyone's results and achievements and hard work. You guys are a source of motivation, that's for sure.
08: 246.0
09: 244.4
10: 244.4

12: no weigh-in
13: 246.6 ???

Got in a great workout this morning and I'll probably feel it tomorrow ha! But I am troubled by the fact that I have not lost anything, despite eating so well and exercising 2-3 times each week since the beginning of March. I'll keep going for sure but I am wondering why the weight is not dropping off like it should.

It will show, just hang in there. The interview went very well. We spoke 50 minutes instead of the 20-25 she thought it would take. It was a comfortable conversation. They have checked my references, and I go in this morning to meat the Division Head. So, things are moving well, but I don't have an offer in hand. Read as, I can still mess this up.

Our bodies have lots of ways to tell us they are not happy with us. Yours is just talking to you. You will see movement soon.

Good job on the work trip. My trip was fun. Yes I did eat more, especially on Saturday than I should have, but I was also very active. I hit the hotel workout room on Friday and did the elliptical and the treadmill. We went to a really nice hotel in the museum district, and walked a huge park. Hopefully when I weigh in in Friday, the scale won't be so mean to me.

Maybe your body is just trying to hang on to everything right not. I know when you increase your workouts significantly, you also need a bump in calories, or your body thinks it is starving. If you don't see anything in the next week or two, try a day or two with an extra bit of protein. See if that helps. Years ago when I lost 80 pounds, and was really working out hard, my hair started coming out. I wasn't eating enough for the level of exercise I was doing.
So, dumb moment for me. I flew to Houston on Thursday after work, and my drivers license expired on Friday. I knew last month it was expiring in March, but I forgot, and forgot it expires on your birthday, not the end of the month. So I have to run and wait for who knows how long this morning at the DMV to get a new one. That on top of an interview. My boss is going to have a fit. Wish me luck.
Full disclosure: horrible weekend of gluttony. The result I'm up 4lbs. 200.4 this morning. Ahhhhh. No, no no, not a number I ever wanted to see again. I need to get my butt in gear. Food on point for today.
