Looks like most everyone has moved on, but I'm still here; not for long though. Meal planning for this week, and headed back to the gym in a few minutes. Planning on moving out soon. Anyone else moving through the 280's and 270's?

Well, guess it's just me for now....or rather for very shortly. Weigh in this AM was under 270, but I'll give it a couple days to see if it holds
4/18 weigh in: 269.4

Good day yesterday
Exercise: 20 min walking speed 2.6 lvl 10
Upper body workout - 40 minutes
3x3x3 bench @95 lb (failure on last wide grip)
tricep rows 2x10@20, 1x10@25
tricep pushdowns 2x10@40
shoulder shocker:
3x7 @: 25 lb plate (ok)
: 10 lb static hold arm lifts (failure on static hold on left)
: 10 lb seated partial clean and press (ok)
hammer curls 2x10@15, 1x10@20
Steps: 8,900

I was running around all day, so didn't calculate my numbers, but here's a rough estimate
Breakfast- smoothie with berries - 400 cal
Lunch - Quest bar, balanced break - 360 cal
Dinner -shredded taco chicken - 1050 cal

which puts me close to my 1800 goal. Macros are off, but thats a work in progress.

Third day in a row under 270, so I'm going to call it a drop and exit from talking to myself lol!

I just joined this page and wonder if anyone else is trying to leave the 280's and 270's behind. I am currently smack dab in the 280's, but hoping not for long. Anyone else here. or am I just going to hear an echo calling back to me?

Hi Joyful in Missouri, I recently joined 3FC as well. I started with the daily accountability thread after trying to find this one.. I guess I did not look hard enough I was around 268 about a year ago and over the past year proceeded to gain back all I had lost plus almost ten pounds I started cracking down on my weight loss efforts 5/31 for the June accountability thread and the accountability is what I had always lacked (I’m not disciplined enough to hold myself accountable yet). Prior to this though I had stayed in the high 270s/low 280s for a long time
How is everything going for you? Do you follow any specific diets or workout plans? Do you track meals/calories or have a fitness tracker? Good luck, hopefully we won’t be in this thread for too long

I hope this thread is still alive! I'm working towards getting out of the 270's and 280's!
Right now I'm currently at 282 pounds!

RunningRedHead and CutieCourt I am not sure if this thread was still active, but with the 3 of us I would say it is active now. I am using My Fitness Pal and a Fitbit to track intake and activity. I lost about 75 pounds previously using this method, but gained more than half of it back when I stopped using them. I am determined to start losing again. I do not want to gain anymore weight.

Joyful: I’m a fan of MyFitnessPal and Fitbit, they helped me the first time around as well. I’ve found the 3FC community to be incredibly helpful so far and it’s made quite a bit of a difference.

CutieCourt: Hi there! I’m so glad you checked in, I was starting to worry most of the 270-280 folks had graduated This range has been a sticking point for me for quite a while in the past.

I had a gain when I weighed in this AM due to being out of town with a friend and not being as strict with myself as I should have been (back to my old ways, quite frankly) this weekend. Hopefully tomorrow will be better as I was more strict about staying on plan today.

RunningRedHead: Hope today is going better for you. You know, I believe we need to allow ourselves to have a treat occasionally, especially when we are celebrating a special occasion. I can't stick with a diet if I never allow myself that freedom. I figure it is better to have an off program meal or dessert every once and a while than it is to stop altogether because I feel deprived. The great thing is you can get right back on track the next day.

CutieCourt: I hope your day was successful.

I stayed within my calorie allotment yesterday and it looks like I will do so again today. I only weigh once a week so hoping for a change on the scale next week.

Joyful, the last couple of days have gone better than the last day I checked in. I had a 3.4 lb bump from last weekend. Trying to stay positive with it by thinking that it took me four days to peak and I'm two days into heading in the right direction, so hopefully in two more I will be back where I started last week I just have to keep remembering that, as with all of the weight in general, I didn't gain it overnight so it won't be lost overnight. Hope the last few days have gone well for you

RunningReadHead, glad to hear the last 2 days have been better for you. We tell ourselves we didn't gain it overnight, so we won't lose it overnight, but it sure would be nice if we could. Of course it is good that we know the weight will come off if we stick to the plan so that is what we will do.

What other threads do you visit on the 3FC community? Which ones do you find to be especially helpful?

Joyful: Thank you and you’re definitely right; it would be great if we could lose it overnight! For now I’m pretty much sticking to the 100 lb. Club- here in the “decades” thread and the accountability thread. I replied to a random post in the 20-somethings forum, but have had more to say here I suppose How about you?

As of this “morning” (I work overnights on the weekend so my morning is around 4pm when I wakeup for the next couple of days), I am down to 276.5, which is just about my low from last week Thank you Next goal, 25% of the way to end-goal.

How is everything going with you?

RunningRedHead I am new to the site so I have been looking at various threads, but post more here and in one that I started regarding needing this to work. I also joined the Labor Day challenge. I find I do well on the weekdays with diet and exercise, but the weekends are very hard. I didn't do well today but will have to try again tomorrow. Monday morning is weigh-in day so I will see how I did for the week.

Joyful: I find that I do well on the days that I work, but on my days off I do poorly out of boredom. I think I need to establish an “off-day” routine and stick with it, find some busy stuff to do (there’s always something around the house that needs to be done haha). I’m hoping this will be easier this week and next as I will no longer be working overnights and will be able to (with any luck) finally have a normal schedule. I think I’m going to join the next challenge when it comes up
I had a 0.9 gain today after strictly sticking to plan yesterday… hopefully there will be a “woosh” when I weigh in tomorrow Good luck with your weigh-in tomorrow I’m sure you did great!
