Harjap, we do have really similar stats. That's awesome! Let's use that as motivation for us to stay on track and move to the lower boards together. Are you following any particular plan?

p.s. Don't forget to edit your profile and update your current weight to match your ticker. Great progress so far!

Yup that would be great to have a buddy to stay on track and move to the lower boards together I am just trying to eat healthy to nourish my body. Had a baby 3months ago but my body still hasn't recovered. So I make and eat vegetable soups, salads, stir fry, fruit salads, smoothies etc. In the evenings while my hubby watches the kids I go for Zumba class at gym. Later on I plan to add strength training too. I join back at work in a month, so Im trying to lose maximum weight and be fit in the next four weeks.

What is your strategy for weight loss? are you also exercising?

Congrats on the new baby! As for my plan, I did low carb for several weeks and had success, but I get bored with that quickly. A friend has talked me into calorie counting for a while to see how that goes. I did that this week and lost about 1.5. I have not been exercising consistently but I plan to start the Walk Away the Pounds dvd this weekend or next week, depending on if the weather is nice enough here to go for a hike this weekend. I'm so excited to have a buddy!

Thank you
Several years ago I did calorie counting and lost 50-60lbs in a year. Its definitely something one can sustain in the long term. How are you liking it so far? I like the walk away dvd's too and have several of them. Which one do you have/planning to do? I am super excited to have a buddy too. Wish they had an option to message.

I have been eating right and exercising for the past three days. Just thought I'd share. I'm excited to be in the mindset for this part of my life again.

I'm so excited to be getting closer and closer to moving to the next board. 273 today. That's the lowest I've been in about 2 years.

Sorry I never replied to this. I'm enjoying the calorie counting so far. It is less restrictive than low carb, but I'm still very carb conscious. I can't remember the name of the dvd I have, but I know it has a 1, 2, and 3 mile on it. I haven't gotten it out yet. I'm working on my master's degree and it is taking a lot of my time. I have learned over the years that I'm not great at time management and I have to work on that so I can fit in exercise, school, work and family.

Good job Nagazim! I'm fluctuating up and down a couple of pounds and haven't shown a loss in over a week. I have been calorie counting, which means I've given myself permission to eat more sugar and carbs as long I stayed within my calorie range. Apparently that's not working out too well. I have to make better food choices and put better stuff in my body if I want to see results.

I'm 285.6 this morning Highest yet. I know a lot is water weight because dh was home and we had a 3 day binge. I'm glad his back at work for a week so I can get my mind in gear and do this.

I tried the calorie counting off and on and clearly it doesn't work for me. Apparently it's low carb or bust for me. Which is fine. I'd rather give up a few loaves of bread in the next year and have my weight go down than keep indulging. I owe it to myself and to my family.

It sucks that the next few months is going to gear around food celebrations. Oh well. I guess I'll have to find another way to celebrate.

I have been off my game lately, several weeks actually. I'm getting back in mode and I'm determined to lose the 4 lbs I gained and keep going in the right direction.
