Mizzthing - I love Prime. We use it for the videos and music, the shipping is just a super nice extra bonus.

Tohisha - Congrats! 227 is awesome!

I'm at 231.8. Was there yesterday too. Getting oh so close to the new decade, even if it's not under 220 it'll still be awesome. It's my first mini-goal and it'll be when I have under 100lbs left to lose.

Wow the thread has gotten quiet. I am up and down so nothing special to report. I did finally get the yoga maker and the first one was a bust. I used almond milk. I am trying a different method with coconut milk next.

People have invited themselves to our place for Thanksgiving. I love family but I am just not in the mood for visitors. Now I have to cook. I am tempted to just make vegan food like I planned but that just wouldn't be southernly/hospitable. So I will probably make two small dinners.

That's two dinners, plus I am trying to make extra money to pay off some debt before the new year, buy Christmas gifts and lose weight on top of it. I'm vowing to stay on plan though. Taking one day at a time. The last two have been good.

I'm at 222.8 this morning. Hope to be 220 by the end of next week. I plan to be more strict with my calories (not necessarily less, but to accurately count them instead of guessing), drink lots of water, and not to skip any workouts. This week was a bit stressful at work, so I was too lenient with my calories and skipped two workouts. Not good!

I actually think daily weighing is working well for me right now because I immediately see the consequences of what I did that day. If I counted my calories, drink lots of water, and exercise, I almost always see a loss. If I overate or skipped my workout, I gain. It's been an eye opener for me and its motivating to see the scale move a tiny bit.

Way to go activeadventurer! You're almost there!!

I'm 221 this morning. I kind of go up and down between 222 and 221 now, but I am determined to lose a pound next week! And it was a little disheartening, but someone took a pic of me when we were out walking, and my face still looks so fat. Ugh, I though it would be smaller by now. But my body is definitely smaller (big but not quite as huge). I'm trying to stay positive and think of the healthy changes I'm making. As long as I keep losing weight, surely my face will get thinner too. Right? Hopefully soon!!

It did get very quiet. Looks like a few folks are about to move onto the next thread too, so it'll likely get even more quiet. Although that's a good thing in it's own way

Mizzthing - Hope Thanksgiving goes well and making two meals doesn't stress you out too much. Great that you're taking one day at a time!

activeadventurer - Woot! Keep it up!

Rin - I've been struggling with actually seeing any sort of change too, so don't get too discouraged! I've been trying to notice little things.. like my pants actually fit just fine straight out of the wash now. They use to give me a muffin top and be all tight. So even if I haven't dropped a size, obviously something is changing! Your face will eventually get thinner.

I had a bad weekend and am actually up to 232.8. Trying to log foods put me under calorie goals, but I'm thinking I logged them wrong. I was also really carb heavy, so that could have something to do with it. I think I can still do under 230 by the end of the month though.. and the weekend didn't include as many poor choices as it could have, so that's a win.

Rin- I am with you on the face. I don't see it slimming but someone told me that it looks slimmer to them. So maybe you just don't see it on yourself.

Sun- you're going to push through. Good for you about the weekend. They can be hard.

I made 231 today. Close but no cigar. Monotony is working. Hopefully I can cruise through the 220s quickly. I've decided until the end of the year I will keep the same meals since they seem to be working.

Mizzthing - Glad monotony is working for you. We're still going through some new recipes but I'll be glad when we can start just rotating through the ones we liked. Monotony is kinda our thing when it comes to meals.

Got a new scale today. It read in at 230.6. So now I'm very, very close to my 229 mini-goal. Exciting stuff

Woohoo Sun. Good for you.

I am thinking of getting either a food delivery plan or paying for a meal planner since my schedule is about to ramp. I think that would help even just for a month to take something off of my table.

We get our groceries delivered for the most part. We only have one car and boyfriend uses it to go to work. He's often there from 7:30am (well that's when he leaves) until 7pm.. and that's five days a week. We like spending the weekends together and don't want to use them to do errands.. so grocery delivery it is. There's a place called Harris Teeter here that delivers. They only charge a flat fee (for us it's about $17) versus other delivery services that charge more for more groceries, sometimes upward of $30. Harris Teeter also doesn't accept tips, which solved my "omg, how much should I tip" problem.

Holding at 230.6 today. Weigh in for two challenges. Down 1.6lbs from last week. Even if it's the scale, still yay!

FINALLY!!!! I weighed-in at 239.6 about 2 weeks ago but wanted to see if it would stick. TOM and some crazy yo-yo junk has kept me from moving into this thread. BUT, yesterday, I was back down to 239.6 and this morning I was down to 239.0.....actually that was at 4:30 this morning and when I weighed, again, at 10:00 I was at 238.4! Using 239.0 as my "official" weigh-in though!

Glad to be here with all of you!

Welcome Jill! Grats on joining us in this thread. It can be a bit quiet around here.. but we do still post on occassion.

Farewell Rin! Congrats on getting under 220! I'll probably be another couple months in this thread at the rate I lose, but that's okay Slow and steady. Yay for goals being met!

I'm at 230.2 today. Getting closer and closer to 229! Still within reach by the end of the month.
