Hey Ladies!

I am so excited that we are on to a new thread, it just gives you hope. Think about all the posters who graced the old thread from the start that have moved on....if they can do it why can't you?

Old Thread: Old and busted: the 190's. New hotness: Getting out of the 190s.

Taking quotes from the other thread so people know what I'm responding to....

Quote:
Carb bloat finally gone! I'm still grumpy about my slow loss right now, though.

7/25: 185.6
7/31: 186.2
today: 185.6

At least my 'official' weigh in isn't until Friday. I hope to be 184-something by then! Things are definitely better today stress-wise. Glad to hear yours is lower too! I think just focusing on eating, rather than what you CAN'T fit in right now, is a great idea!
Frances, that's fantastic! Keep at it and you'll be in the 170s before you know it. (I love that we are all still posting in the 190s though lol, this is a good group)

Quote:
I did not update too much over the weekend, but I hit 184 and I am still 184 today! I am on track to see 170's by the end of August and I am excited! Actually I set a very ambitious goal of 176 by the end of August. Would love to hit that number, and I believe that I can if I stay focused and not get stressed out by life in general....
I pigged this weekend at my Family Reunion, had too much of this red velvet cake with the best icing ever, barbecue, potato salad--my fav, but I did leave the alcohol alone and believe me it was hard. We have some real bartenders in my family who can mix you up a wonderful summertime treat!

nonameslob You may just need another mental break from the idea of weight loss. We have been doing this for months! I know it feels like a never-ending marathon, but we will make it through .
Marli, apparently you did not "pig out" if you are still 184 today :P So glad you enjoyed the reunion. I cannot imagine not drinking at one of those things though, especially with good bartenders around! Good for you!

I don't think I need another break from it right now. My stress has been a few work events and those are over, so now I'm more likely to focus on weight loss even more lol I'm feeling really good about my goal for this month actually! It will be so cool to be able to say I've lost 50 pounds!

Good thinking, MarliQQ! Hooray for new threads! And congrats on getting to 184 - wooooooo! You'll be in the 170s before you know it!

Noname - 50 pounds is a huge accomplishment and I'm sure you'll hit your goal this month! What # are you going for?

I'm pretty paranoid about my weigh in this week. I feel like I need to change something up to get my losing back on track but not quite sure what to do. I'm going to try eating a little more today and tomorrow to see if that makes a difference. Fingers crossed for at least 184-something by the end of the week!!

I'm trying to pretend that you guys are not flying through the decade! LOL I am up a couple lbs but I think it's because I ate saurkraut...all that sodium. Otherwise, I have been eating very well OP so I am going to just keep plodding!

I want to see 180's so badly! Sometimes I think I am grandfathered into the 190s. but I WILL succeed.

Wannabe No worries, I'm in the 190s today with ya :P Sodium here, too! Ugh. Pumpkin seeds and lord knows what else did it...not a good day yesterday. You just keep at it! Hopefully you'll get a woosh and the water weight plus some will leave

Frances 182.6 will be 50 pounds lost, so over 6 pounds to lose from my lowest. This month is not going as planned. I may need to take a maintenance break for health issues, and I'm not getting to the gym for the same reason. Sucks, but I'd rather feel better! Why are you paranoid about your weigh in? Do you have reason to believe you're not losing? I thought you lost last week, but my memory could be wrong

Hey Ladies!

I am 185 today, but I know it is a temporary bump. I overate yesterday and did not workout. I am coddling myself, and am not going to beat myself up about it because I know it is just stress. Times like this do not bode well for my weight loss, so I am just going to go on auto-pilot for a while...until I am mentally better. Besides my stress will have dissipated by Saturday, so I am just counting down the days until I can feel normal again....

Frances123 It is probably not that you need to change anything, it may just be latent effects from your weekend away. You may just have to play the wait-and-see game for a few more days .

nonameslob I understand needing to take a break and the guilt associated with it, but I know you'll do what is best for you . We just have to remember that when we reach our goals, the last thing we will ever say is "Glad I got to my goal!--but BOY! I wish I had never taken that week off!" As long as we stay persistent and pick up where we left off as soon as we are able to, no harm, no foul.

WannabehealthyYou can do this! You will succeed!

Dang, I feel like we're all in the same boat this week! Noname, good luck on your break. Does that mean you won't be doing 5:2, but just focus on kind of maintenance mode? Same for you, MarliQQ? I hear ya...sometimes I get so tired of all the counting and weighing (both food and myself!). I'm going to keep chugging along, though. Last week I had a small gain. Hoping for some sort of loss this week. I hope you're able to keep posting, even though you're taking a break!

I haven't decided what I'm doing yet. I'm going to attempt a fast tomorrow and see how I feel. I'll make a decision Monday. I'm making some other changes to my diet and taking vitamins again, so hopefully those will help with my health and I won't need to do a maintenance break. Thanks for the support, guys. Just need to get the headaches and fatigue and lightheadedness under control. That really needs to be priority number one!

We will all push through! I don't think any of us have lost much lately so I think that means we are all due for wooshes! Just keep doing what you guys are doing! It will come!

Hey, guys! I hope you're doing okay on your breaks! Noname, how was your fast?

I had a major whoosh this week and finally got to move my ticker! 183.2 this morning after my workout! 3 pounds down! So, so, so excited. I can't believe I'm almost in the 170s!!

Hey Ladies!

I am so much less stressed . Happy Friday All!!!! I will be back on my grind, so according to my trends I should be seeing 182 by my next official weigh-in, if I stay a good girl . My end of month goal for August is 176, so I already plotted that trend line on my graph, and it is showing that I am on track, but I could be doing better. Or maybe I am just being hard on myself, I always think I could be doing better .
So let me tell you about these small NSVs--where I live, we are situated in a pretty hilly region. So as I was walking, it dawned on me that I am no longer out of breath! I recall that previously certain areas of my neighborhood would usually leave me pretty winded, but that just wasn't the case anymore .
Then I started to think about how earlier I was playing with my niece in an IKEA--I know, I know, we were those unruly people, but there was this really long wall of varied mirrors and so I was picking her up and running her back and forth and, lifting her up and down so we could squeal her name at her reflection in every mirror. For a two year old this was amazingly exciting, so she kept asking to do it. My sister then comments that my niece and I had too much energy, and asked if I was tired...and truthfully, I wasn't!! It still feels strange to admit this, but I still feel like the old me, and I really don't know the new me or when she arrived. I am taking a lot of things for granted during this journey and that sucks...

Frances123 Congrats hun, I know that felt really good--and you thought you ate yourself into a hole! Silly girl!

nonameslob I hope you feel better! I am dealing with fatigue issues right now and that sucks. I too think I am lacking proper vitamins, so I feel you. Keep at it! There is gold at the end of our rainbows!!!

Hey, MarliQQ! So glad to hear you're less stressed! Hooray! You've got some really great NSVs, too. We're going to have many more before our journeys are through! Glad to hear you're back on track, too. 182, wow! Can you believe we're almost in the 170s? But I won't believe it 'til I see it!

Noname- how is your fatigue?

So my husband has 3 friends coming in to town for the weekend. Of course I had to bake. I made a layer cake - 1 layer fudgy brownie, 1 layer cheesecake, and 1 layer chocolate chip cookie dough, the whole thing iced with chocolate buttercream. There's a cup of melted butter IN THE COOKIE DOUGH ALONE. My goal is to have an on-track day, and a small sliver of cake tonight. ONE SMALL SLIVER. None tomorrow - a totally on track weekend with ONE SLIVER. Wish me luck!

BTW - I don't think you're necessarily taking things for granted...I think this thinner state of being is just new for us, and we're still not used to all the cool things we can do now!

Hey ladies! I was unfortunately up a pound on my weekly weigh in. With how weird my health has been this week, I'm just hoping its a fluke and next week I'll have a woosh. I'm partially feeling better but still have my moments. Made it to the gym twice this week when my energy was up. Trip is going well so far. My mom brought along a bunch of leftovers so we didn't have to eat out for lunch yesterday. Gonna try some Smart Water since I didn't like the coconut water to see if the electrolytes help.

Marli you are doing so well! You must feel amazing after noticing those changes in how your body is functioning while carrying so much less weight! It happens so gradually that its hard to notice on a daily basis huh?

Frances... good luck with your sliver of cake! You can do it! Slice your piece last and out it all away so you're less tempted to get more :P just think about the 170s!

I still haven't stepped on the scale. We ate at the buffet at the casino yesterday and I ate waaaaay too much, but I did stick to my low carb. Need to cut back on volume today to compensate. I'm really not very hungry.

Since I'm probably staying home all day today, I want to up my water consumption. Can't be too far from the bathroom! LOL

Frances123 I cannot wait until we hit that thread either! We deserve it! Although I think I have been a poor member of the 180's thread though . I guess I just like the idea of being "official" in a decade .
Side Note--- I don't ever, ever, ever, ever, want you to describe that cake to me again! You just woke my fat girl up real hard right before lunch, I haven't even chosen what I was going to eat yet. That is like going to a supermarket on an empty stomach! Sheesh! Thanks Frances!

nonameslob It is hard, even with pictures! OMG! I have to tell, I must say I was pretty good at dodging pics as a fat girl, so much so, I remember all the instances I could not escape. And one of those instances was posted online on our family's website!!!! I was mortified to discover it still existed!! After I recovered from my jaw dropping, I copied the picture and made a project out of it, very therapeutic . I would let you all see it, but I am still wounded by it , despite my therapy session .

Wannabehealthy Honey! No invite!!?? I would have went . I love casinos and food! So jealous.....
