  • This is Challenge 5 of our 2014 Goal Year Challenge.

    Challenge 5 will be approximately 9-10 weeks according to when your weigh in day is and will cover Independence Day until Labor Day. Everyone is welcome - you don't need to have been a part of the previous challenge to participate.

    Challenge 1: New Years Day to Valentine’s Day (January 1st to February 14th)
    Challenge 2: Valentine’s Day until April Fools Day (February 14th to April 1st)
    Challenge 3: April Fools Day until Mother's Day (April 1st to May 11th)
    Challenge 4: Mother's Day until Independence Day (May 11th to July 4th)
    Challenge 5: Independence Day to Labor Day (July 4th to September 1st)
    Challenge 6: Labor Day to Columbus Day (September 1st to October 13th)
    Challenge 7: Columbus Day until Thanksgiving Day (October 13th to November 27th)
    Challenge 8: Thanksgiving Day to New Years Eve (November 27th to December 31st)

    Weigh in for challenges will be once a week. Copy and paste this format or create your own, edit dates to match your weekly weigh in day. You'll be coming back each week to update your progress (find the entry and click edit). And this thread will be available for us to chat about the challenge, overcome struggles and celebrate successes.

    I will post a new thread for each new challenge as they approach. This means the thread will not get super long by end of the year and anyone can jump in at any point in the year!

  • Hi everyone! I literally just came off of a bad emotional eating weekend so I'm going to go by my weight today and not the 278 I was on the 4th of July lol.

    Challenge Begin Weight: 278.6 (nude, with clothes it is 279.8)
    Challenge Goal Weight: 265.1 (clothed lol)
    Challenge End Weight: 263.6 (nude, with clothes it is 264.8)

    08/29/2014: 260.8 (nude, with clothes it is 262.4, currently fighting a tooth infection & taking antibiotics, just began clindamyacin (sp?) at around 9:30 last night, wish me luck)
    09/01/2014: End Weight: 263.6 (nude, with clothes it is 264.8 still sick, stuck pretty close to my calories but gained weight, I think it's water retention, anyhow I met my challenge goal)
  • Thanks for getting us started wannaskipandlaugh! While I haven't been at all consistent with these challenges, I'm still trying Count me in!

  • I have been a member here off and on for many years. After a horrible June, with Hubby's dad going into hospice, my being rejected for 'long-term healthcare insurance" for my vision and my weight, and my beloved, April, having to be put to sleep from cancer, I find myself having to try to lose weight again. Did I mention again?

  • Great progress everyone! I Enjoy seeing how all of the goals are going each week. My goal for the 18th is to be down -1.8. I'm headed out to the gym now!
