Hi Abt74!!! I wish you a ton of luck! The beginning of the Optifast is the hardest as you are adjusting to not eating and getting into Ketosis...but after that if you work the program and stay true - the program works!!!

I hope you keep me updated on your progress! Any questions please feel free to ask and I will help in any way I can!! (Even if it is just to listen to a vent!)

Thanks Nibog! I just finished my first week and my weigh in is this AM. It has taken all my power not to step on our home scale! I have followed the program to a T so hopefully my results will be good even though I'm also PMS'ing. Ah well, fingers crossed! :D

Today was weigh in #2, I only lost 3 lbs for a total of 8.5 I was a little bummed because I thought it would be more. But that really is a lot of weight in two weeks and is better than I have been doing in the past so I'll take it!

Closing in on 100 - - only 9lbs to go!!! Weighed in at 174.0 this weekend, 91.0# gone!!!!

I've read this entire thread to follow your journey on the program. WOW! Big congratulations to you on your success! You are really inspiring, and proof that when you stick with something and believe in yourself, it works.

I'm waiting now to hear back from the hospital about starting their program. I'm nervous but excited at the same time! Reading your story has really helped a lot. Thank you for sharing your journey!
