  • Quote: I had a friend that was very similar. When it rained, her knees ached. She was very sensitive to atmospheric pressure as well. That's very interesting to me.

Today's exercise was great! I jogged my 2.4 miles, came home and did my plank challenge (Day 2 = 20 seconds) and did some light weights. I think I might start a pushup challenge. I can't do plank pushups and would love to be able to do them one day.

    Now time for food
I just saw this, good job ... planks/pushups I can't do at all. Way to go

I'm trying to do up down days also and so far so good. I want today to be a low day but I don't know. I made some low carb pancakes yesterday and I had planned to eat one with salmon and eggs. I don't normally eat anything until I get my daughter on the bus so we shall see
  • Ending April weighing 212.6lbs, only 2.6lbs from my goal weight of the month so I'm pretty happy with that
  • ushotmedown ... that's great

  • Great job ushotmedown!

Rennie - what are low carb pancakes made out of?
  • Olivia here are my ingredients, it made 5 pancakes

calories 149, carb 7, protein 6, fiber 2 in each

Wildroots - 100% Natural Milled Golden Flaxseed, 2 TBS
Louana - 100% Pure Coconut Oil, 1 Tbsp
Aldi's Simply Nature - Whole Wheat Pancake Mix, 0.5 cup
Morning Fresh - Large Eggs, 2 eggs
Kroger - Simple Truth Almond Meal/flour (Finely Ground), 1/2 cup
Westsoy - Low Fat Plain Soy Milk 240ml (8 oz), 0.5 cup
  • Hi all! Ending the month at 193.6, up 0.1 from yesterday, but with a 1.7lb loss for the month. All things considered this month, I'm happy. I still want to get into the 80s in May though. I think that's a doable goal.
  • Rennie - wow! That sounds really interesting! Is it good? Do you put syrup on them? I guess using syrup would defeat the purpose of low carb pancakes eh? lol

Kukkie - I also would like to get into the 180's in May. Let's do this!
  • Kukkie, you did great this month, I'm proud of you

Olivia I use Log Cabin sugar free syrup (I have type 2 diabetes) ... it's 20 calories and 8 carbs for a serving which is 1/4 of a cup. Unless I eat it with sausage I don't use that much syrup. oh and I add a cap of vanilla flavoring. I used cinnamon once but since I only eat one at a time after the first two days I didn't want the cinnamon anymore so that is out. Yes they are good, my son says they have no taste.

Kukkie and Olivia you will both see the new decade in May. I'm sure of it
  • Will know how much I lost for the month tomorrow (May 1st), but I was hoping that at least the FIRST month back on track that I would lose 10 pounds, but seems it will be more like 8.5 to 9. Not bad, but what happened to beginners whoosh and luck?
  • Finally hit the end of the month!! Glad everybody made it

Can't weigh in on the road, but have been on plan this week and plan to go jogging tonight at a lake here in Dallas.

Olivia, good luck with vegetarian day! I would struggle

Rennie, congrats on 160!!!!! Amazing progress with your fresh new start!

ushotmedown, man 212 - congrats! I know when I hit 212 I was so excited. It was so close to 209...which meant I was on the downhill slide to Onederland!!

Kukkie, a loss is a loss - way to go!!

Berry, great work!!! For a first month, that seems really great to me!

Heading over to the May thread tomorrow! See you all there!
  • Great job Melissa

Thanks akelly , hoping for a great weigh in when you return home
  • Last post for the April thread!

I had a great eating day. Very delicious homemade food. Tomorrow I eat meat and it will be the first time in 17 days. I had some leftover garlic butter that I made and it tastes like the butter from Benihana lol. I think I know what I'm going to do with the leftover
