Rennie -- Good job on the treadmill walk today! I did some pilates tonight to make up for the cupcake I ate at a bridal shower Overall it was a good day though, I'm happy with how I did.
__Hello Fellow "Marchers" Thanks for the kind welcome! .5 for me this morning! A loss is a loss, right? Another day of clean eating! Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend! Marchin' on! See ya Lighter! Jodoto
Terra, when I do get a chance to walk on the treadmill it is only for an hour. I was thinking ---> If you have a smart phone? There are free walking apps that you can download that will track your calories burned and distance during your walks. There is one called the run keeper (I think, I downloaded it but never used it) I think you can calibrate it to walking instead of running. I said all of that to say. Depending on your pace during your walks you may burn enough calories doing just one walk for 20 minutes after each meal, totaling 60 minutes a day, if you eat 3 main meals a day. Just a thought and it would save money on a pedometer. Also most of those phone apps will sync to some other chart that you are using on the computer I believe. The run keeper I saw on MFP if you use that. But loseit or fatsecret and maybe fitday may have their own exercise app. again just a thought
jodoto, good job on the .5 down
Angie hope you have/had a nice weigh in this morning
akelly, Kukkie, Sam where are you
down another .6 to 165 Makes for a good start of the day, see you all later
Rennie ~ Nope I dont have a smart phone but thanks for thinking of me. I dont walk fast at all, I dont know how too so I should probably stick to my 3-45 min walks a day but thanks for the suggestion.
ushotmedown & Angie ~ Congrats on the weight loss
Im about to walk for the 1st time today and then I'll walk again before bed. 2 walks is better then 0.
Terra you don't have to walk fast it's the fact that you are getting the walks in that counts. You keep up the good work with your 90 to 135 minute daily walks. I'll get there one of these years
I have been trying to start running for the past 5 months. I have been told to do C25K but have yet to attempt it. I did try in 2011 but gave up. I can only pick up speed for about 30 seconds and then I have to slow down but I can get up to 4.9mph. My norm is 3.5-3.9 brisk walking to get my heart rate up which helps burn the calories. When I first started walking I could barely go 15-20 minutes so I've made progress.
I'm stuckkkkkk at 196.3. Argh! I did okay today though, no real snacking (that I can remember) and I managed to get quite a bit of water, although not all of it.
No time for personals, I need to make lunch for tomorrow, but Angie I'm sooo happy to see you darling . We'll get through this together!
