For those of you who count calories, what formula did you use to calculate them? There is so many different ones with vastly different results. Right now the one I'm using suggests I eat 1300 cals to lose 2lbs a week. Another one suggested I eat 1800 calories a day to lose 2lbs a week. I'm using the lowest one right now, but if I could lose 2lbs at 1800 I would because its more food. lol

Hi vsmith, I use My Fitness Pal and have it set to moderate activity. It says I can eat about 1621 or so calories a day. I try not to eat back any exercise calories. I did have it set to sedentary and it only gave me 1320 a day. I was losing but not consistently. I read somewhere that not eating enough can stall or slow your loss, so I am trying this. Not many people are truly sedentary. You can always try alternating your calories for a week or two and see how it affects you weight loss.

I am at 242.6 this morning.

Ok we're home and back on track. There was a night of burgers that wasn't according to my plan but overall, I did pretty good sticking to plan. The one meal of dairy and grains plus a few extras and all the traveling in the car and I was up to 250.6 on Wednesday morning I'm back on plan and shed back down to 244.6 this morning. Thankfully, we have no more trips planned for awhile.

Hi Nagazim--- trips and weight loss don't mix so you did well.

I'm at 245 with slow steady progress. I'm hoping to jumpstart my way out of this decade

Hmm... back up. My usual trend. Sigh, I recently stopped my birth control and my hormones are readjusting so my face is broke out. Feel like a teenage again. LOL

I'm just past the threshold into the 240's with two days in a row at 249. Hoping to be in the 30's by Thanksgiving. It's looking good since I'm waiting to have my gallbladder removal surgery scheduled and fats are currently off limits!
