Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: staying with it for lifetime commitment to be healthier and feel like playing with my kids. Not drinking regular soda.

Following any specific plan: not at this time, just taking one day at a time of eating lower fat, less carbs, and drinking water, water, water.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforst than in the past: Now that i'm past 40, I feel scared for my health. I don't feel as good as I have in the past. I've always been overweight, but felt good. I'm more inactive than i've ever been, and that scares me.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I would mostly like to relate to other people in my situation as far as weight is concerned. At times I feel i'm the only fat person out there. I need to learn to have a better self esteem. I'm friendly and make new friends easily. I'm hoping to find some good support and freinds here.

Welcome Blossom!

Sounds like we have a lot in common. I have worked in a bank since I was 22 yrs old and I turned 40 this past March. Turning 40 is what triggered this healthier lifestyle for me also. Around October as I thought about the fact that in less than 6 months I'd be 40 I panicked! Everyone says it's much harder after 40 so I knew I just had to get on the ball and do something. I dont follow any specific diet plan, I just eat less and introduced exercise into my life after years of doing none. I am married with 2 sons, 11 and 13.

Hope you enjoy this site as much as I have. The support I've found in 3FC is probably the greatest contributer toward the success I've had in this weightloss journey.
