Even if you just start with walking on the thing it will help get you one step closer to running! You'll get there We all will!

Silverfire! Thanks to you I did a little bit of jogging today I wasn't going fast at all (3.7mph) and I was only able to do a minute at a time, a few times, but it was a great workout, my calorie burn was double what it would have been just walking. And it wasn't so bad, I thought it would be loud and stompy but it didn't seem any louder than walking. I will probably start C25k on Monday. That way I'll already be somewhat used to jogging once Spring comes and I can workout outside again. Thank you so much for your input!

New to the this thread! I am currently 267! I have been sick since Christmas with a nasty case of bronchitis. I am hoping to being some exercise soon it's just been so hard to breathe! All of my weight loss so far has been from eating little more than soup (I also had a nasty sore throat and eating was painful.)

musicteacher82: I just got over Bronchitis last week. I finally finished off my antibiotics today. I lost a ton of weight that week because I couldn't taste ANYTHING. I didn't eat much because everything tasted like cardboard. I started working out again on Thursday, after having been on medication for a week. Be careful, don't push yourself. Even after a week of feeling well, my workout wore me out and it caused me to start coughing a little bit again.

I weighed in today and gained a pound since my last weighing. 261.4. I half expected this though, I ate ALOT of salt yesterday and went over my calorie goal by quite a bit. Oh well, I'm back to eating better today. =)

kailpea- I am glad you are starting to feel better. This has been lingering horribly on me. Bronchitis is awful I am still coughing quite a bit so I think my focus for the next week or so is going to be on what I am eating. I take the stairs at work and I am up and down 2 flights of stairs several times a day so at least I am getting a little exercise in.

Morning everyone! Welcome musicteacher82!

The scale jumped up a bit to 268.6. I assume it was due to the huge huge pile of nachos I made us for dinner last night. Sort of in an effort to use up the rest of the chips and cheese from the b-day party. I loaded it with peppers and tomatoes at least

My mom got me a Fitbit Force for my birthday! It arrived in the mail Friday afternoon and it hasn't left my wrist but to shower and wash dishes since I set it up. So much fun, I can't wait to go to the gym and put this little thing to work!! Today will be W1D2 of C25K as well!

I hope everyone who has been under the weather gets better soon

I guess I should join this thread, I hope you guys dont mind.

I'm trying to get to 190 by August. I know I can do it because it's only 77 lbs in 8 months and since I'm really over weight and my goal isn't too low I should be able to do it. I'm trying to lose a large chunk in the first 2 months of my weight loss so I will be fine when my weight loss slows down after a few months.

Welcome CaliforniaDreamer! Good luck on your journey!

Down to 266.6 today. Lets just continue this downward trend! I am getting much much better about drinking enough water, and sticking to my plan. I made chicken pot pie for supper last night. 300 cals for a serving, a little high in sodium though. Leftovers for lunch today. I'm thinking Salmon and salad for supper tonight!

I'm loving my new fit bit (PM if you'd like a fit bit friend!!) And managed to get to 10000 steps yesterday! That was after the gym (W1D2 C25k DONE!) and wandering around my house for an hour to get the last few hundred in!! I think this is going to be a great motivator for me!

See you in the next thread MamaPu! Way to go

265.4 this morning, happy with that since I ended up having nachos for dinner last night. So much for the Salmon plan... Oops. Oh well, I work job #2 bartending tonight, so I'll be running around all night. I am making a point to bring a snack and a water bottle so I don't end up eating the most MSG-filled and bloat inducting (yet delicious) dry ribs and pop combo that staff are entitled to...

Congrats MamaPu! Good luck in the 240's!

I weighed in today at 259.6. Finally in the 250's! Woot! My goal by the end of the week was to be a firm 259.0.

Silverfire, I don't think I could work around food without going insane! I would have to have a serious amount of self control. At least you'll be running around, maybe you'll track quite a few more steps tonight with your fitbt. =)

kailpea - 250's! - The pop yeah for sure, but the dry ribs are only awesome going down coz its like 5 minutes later and I get sooooooo bloated, gassy and uncomfortable! Totally not worth it. I am SO looking forward to seeing the extra steps on the fitbit tonight too! Yesterday was pretty bad since I got home and basically laid on the couch till bed time
