Smile My chair does not fit!

Yesterday, my back started hurting. While I was trying to get comfortable in my office chair it dawned on me that my chair is too big for me now! A few years ago, my supervisor bought me and others new office chairs. We each were helped by a chair specialist and got chairs that "fit" us.

The arms on my chair are loose now because for years I was so big that my hips pushed on the chair arms. The chair is too deep for me now so it does not support my back, hence the back pain. I have extra space between me and the chair arms when I used to press against the arms.

Of course, I expected my clothes to get too big but never thought about my chair!

While I am sure that my supervisor will be glad to get me a new chair, I am want to wait until I think I am finished losing weight. A new smaller chair will help motivate me to maintain.

In the meantime, I need to adapt my chair. This morning I brought a small pillow to fit in the small of my back and it seems to work. Time will tell. I also am using 2 old thick books as footrests. I am going to buy a footrest and am will look at supports for backs too.

Who would have ever thought it? My chair is too big!!

Congrats! That's such great news!

I'm getting a standing desk soon. I'm super excited.

Jessica, I am working on making a standing desk. I just have a wire shelf rack that I am putting my key board on and then raising the monitor. We will see if it helps my back.
