- my wonderful FSF sisters/family - we all care about each other so much. I do believe it's a special friendship/love. We 'talk' daily and share are joys and frustrations. I am grateful to have them in my life.
- pretty sunny fall morning
- I get much inspiration from my FB friends who share quotes and positive stories.(among lots of other things) It has always been helpful to me to find little things to share, too.
- friends, family, YOU ALL, internet, cell
- carpet is so clean.. looks nice. He cleaned my recliner and I think I won't have to replace it... looks that good.

1. Finally lost an inch off my calves - it only took 50 pounds before it reached the lower part of my body.
2. Finding terrific deals on designer clothes at my goal size on eBay.
3. Having fun using up my extreme diet foods getting ready for maintenance.
4. Enjoying watching body changes - the paper towel analogy is so apt.
5. Every time I worry about regaining, realize that I can't even bring myself to eat my full allowance of carbs and calories each day.
6. I love breaking into a run to cross a street and feeling so much lighter.
7. Walking about work and not having to apologize for moving through small spaces.
8. Not feeling like I should apologize for the groceries I'm buying at the checkout.

Howdy, y'all! I'd like to join this great attitude/gratitude thread, because it helps me stay focused when I call to mind what I'm thankful for. I'm a 58 y.o. retired physician, artist & writer, married with no kids. Workin' hard toward a projected weight loss of 220 pounds, though it may end up being less than that, depending on how I feel when I get close to my goal.
Grateful for:
—my wonderful Belgian friend Robine, with whom I correspond by email in French
—my sweet husband, who's supportive of everything I do
—the fact that on the Atkins diet, I can eat all the food I want without having to count anything, so long as it's the right food, of course
—my 51 lb. lost so far
—the leaves of scarlet, gold & orange in our yard
—my books, iPad & stereo
—the 3 Fat Chicks community, where I'm starting to feel at home
Lisa— What's the paper towel analogy?

Ah, this thread is so inspirational.
Today I'm grateful
-for this thread!
-for coffee
-for nailing this hula hoop trick I've been working on and for having discovered hoop dance in the first place! It's given me so much confidence.
-for being a college student and have the opportunity to expand my mind so much.
-for being in the middle of a really cool book series.
-for having such a kick *** family. My mom and dad saw me doing so well with my new way of eating that they've decided to try it, although my dad keeps getting it mixed up with Atkins and asking me if he's supposed to avoid fruit for 14 days, even though I gave him the Primal Blueprint book. :P
