  • I'm excited for this challenge! I have been struggling with some serious back issues for the last few months, but I got the go ahead to start walking. I want to lose 50 pounds as a lofty goal. I think it's doable. Since I'm at my highest weight ever, I'm hoping it will come off more quickly at the beginning.

    Thanks for posting this Jane. I had not taken pictures since January so it was a good reminder. I never even thought about a "progress picture shirt". Today I found a tight shirt with tiny sleeves that I would never wear in public. I took 27 selfies this morning; about 1/3rd were thigh up. OMG! I was deluding myself that losing 40 lbs made me look so much better and that I was carrying my weight so well. What truly amazes me is that looking in the mirror at myself and then looking at the pictures that I took in the same mirror seemed to add lots of fluff that I am just not seeing. I am completely baffled by this, but it was definitely a wake up call!
  • As a note, I weigh in on Fridays. I love the idea of a progress shirt. I'm off to raid my closet.
  • searching i feel exactly the same,i look so great in the mirror butpictures of me.. not posing are so unforgiving, is that what ppl see when they look at me!?

  • Darn it.. Instead of having less weight to lose (after 1 week)..I have added to my amount needed to lose gggrrrrrrr ...

    I have a dress that I can just bbbbarrrrreeellllyyyyy squeeze into.. I want to where it soooooo bad (I made it 8 years ago and wore it once to a baseball game and met Tom Lasorda and he said I looked cute oh that made my day and I have not been able to wear it since)... My goal clothing!

    This happens to me all the time. I tend to forget that even though 100 pounds is quite an accomplishment, I still have nearly 200 to go!!!!

    To be honest, I've never been all that successful in the weight loss challenges (I've joined several ), but I've also never given up. I seem to do just enough to maintain. Couldn't ask for a better time to reassess why things aren't working and what I'm doing to contribute to ongoing failure/stalls/restarts. I am the proverbial work in progress.

  • Valentine’s day seems so far away, but I think I need a long term goal like this to keep me in check. The holidays, particularly Christmas and New Year’s, are big weight gainers for me. Last year I gained 11lbs over Christmas! Not to mention I completely fell of the exercise band wagon. I think having a plan that goes past Christmas will keep me focused. I’d also like to lose 35lbs by then

  • I want to lose 42.7 pounds by V-Day. Thats about 2 pounds a week. That will also put me in ONEderland!!! My weigh days are Fridays so I will use last weeks weight for my start weight.
