Default Job=weight gain?

So I just started working for the first time in four years. It's an active job where I'm on my feet all day. And I'm STARVING!!!! I haven't been able to stick to 1200 calories since I started on Saturday. I'm also "up" four pounds since Sunday. I know it's not true weight gain because I haven't eaten an extra 14000 calories, but it is disheartening to see the scale go up...

Deep breath, this is only temporary, right???

Think of how many calories you're burning with all that extra movement!

Your body will settle down before long.

Do you feel comfortable increasing your calorie allotment a bit, maybe with a snack or two, since you are moving around so much more? I wonder if that would help your body adjust weight-wise and hunger-wise.

I would try to throw in a snack as well. Maybe you ate some sodium-rich foods this week and it caused you to retain water.

I ate an extra snack today (nuts) and I feel less ravenous. I'll give it a week or two for my body to adjust
