I leave for a 10 day vacation on Friday. This is my first vacation at goal weight- I'm scared of food I won't know the nutritional value for!

Make the best choices you can based on your experience so far. You have done well and have a good foundation. Try to stay active, if at all possible. Pick a few splurge meals that you will enjoy. You will not gain weight from that. You may gain water weight from sodium. Be aware of this and don't let it get you down. If you enjoy an off plan meal, get right back on track with the next meal. Enjoy your vacation.

I am going to a beach house and I told myself that if I avoid ice cream the entire week, that I'll allow myself to have it on the last day and not feel guilty

The ice cream men come out on to the beach and ring a bell several times a day- very frustrating when you are trying to eat healthy! And then everyone LOVES to go out to the homemade ice cream shop a few times a week after dinner. What is it with ice cream and the beach?!

Underwater I think you are doing great by thinking about all of this ahead of time and planning. You will do a great job. Remember, if things get off track, just get right back on plan and stay active. Enjoy your vacation.

Keep it up Eviebaby!!!

I've almost gotten 40 lbs off since the end of May. I'm excited because I'm almost back to 255. That was my lowest last year before gaining 30 plus 10 more!
Let's get those numbers going in the right direction!

Wow, good for you! I started April 20, and while it's nowhere near 40lbs, I'm pleased that I've lost 25 lbs as of today. 4 mths = 6.5 lbs per month. Nothing glamorous, but it's steady. I'm thinking of looking into the Christmas challenge too, maybe.

p.s. Thanks for writing me today. I was feeling a bit down so your msg (and Couch's) were really nice to get.
