When I look in the mirror, I feel as though I look as fat as ever. It's very depressing. Like you, I measured myself and I am smaller, but it sure doesn't look like it.

I was thinking about this thread after I replied the first time.

We have talked about this before on 3FC but it's worth repeating since I get so mad.

Did you ever notice how places like Marshalls and TJ Maxx have the perfect lighting in their dressing room and you are one sexy lady in everything you try on? Their mirrors practically dance with you and play sexy music in your head?

Then you get home and your mirror almost throws up on you because you look like a frumpy old hag? And you wonder how you could have possibly screwed up so bad thinking you actually looked good?

Wow. I need to buy clothes where you do. My dressing room experience is exactly the opposite. I look like something satan spit out when I try on clothes.

When I look in the mirror at home I look amazing. When I look in mirrors at clothing stores...forget about it.

Mirrors are mostly OK if I do not turn sideways. Face in the mirror is a beauty to be seen.

Photos not so much.

Reflections in windows are great too.

The lying b@stard! Hahaha, I feel your pain. I have lost a respectable amount in the last three months, but does the mirror have anything positive to say about it? No. Haha.

Oooohhh My lovely mirror does lie lie lie,,, but I like it as I have melded it with my brain to make me look alot lighter and slimmer than I really am so I tootle out to work feelking great. ONLY to stand in front of the elevator mirror and see the mirror at the Fun House and how wide it makes you look..... (only it is a true reflection) and dash my good humor to bits and pieces,..... I think the same thing happens with my camera compared to other's cameras!!

My camera lies, too--but I think it's me being unkind to myself. Yesterday I had DH take pictures--side/front/back. All I could see is how fat I still am and couldn't even see the difference from the pictures we took 1/31. He had to show me the differences--because all I could focus on was the negatives.

I can usually overlay the pictures in powerpoint (make one transparent, or just hover it over)....and THEN I can see the difference.
