  • I've used Fitday for EONS...just wondering if I'm missing out on something that might be better.
I'll never need a forum other than this one, but a bigger database and recipe converters might be nice!
Anybody here who used to use Fitday, but found something better?

  • I've never used fitday, but I'm pretty happy with my fitness pal.
  • I've been using Lose It for a couple months and I love it. I've also used Livestrong's My Plate in the past.
  • Never used fitday before, but I have used LiveStrong and MyFitnessPal. I enjoy both of them for different reasons, LiveStrong has a much larger database for food and exercise, while MyFitnessPal is more interactive. Both have their pros and cons and I typically go back and forth.
  • I use MyNetDiary. I like the app for iPhone (and presumably Andriod) and the food database is extensive. The exercise database is adequate for my needs. It's easy to add nutritional info for packaged food by scanning the barcode with your smartphone. You can track a wide range of individual nutrients and there is a diabetes tracker (I think only in the paid version). The target calories adjusts with drop in weight. The one improvement I'd like to see is a better way to add recipes. I've used it for nearly 5 months and have lost 40 lbs. with no plateaus.
  • Besides MyNetDiary are there any others for the Iphone or IPad?
  • I used to be FAITHFUL to fitday, but got turned on to sparkpeople. I really liked it much better. BUT THEN I was introduced to myfitnesspal, and let me tell you I like it much better than the other two. While there are a few features over at sparkpeople that I like better as far as the weight loss tracking goes, the database of foods over at myfitnesspal, IMO, is FAR superior to the other two (in my experience anyway). There are a few things about each that I like and wish that I could combine them all together, but myfitnesspal wins out simply because of the database (oh and I like their feed on the homepage as well).

I'm almost sure that myfitnesspal has an app for ipad/iphone.
  • i'm a dedicated MyFitnessPal-er!
  • I use Weight Watchers and MyFitnessPal. Of the two, MFP is far superior as far as ease of use and the content of the data base. MFP is also free.
  • I love my fitness pal for iPhone.
  • I've been using fitday too, and I was wondering if I should switch. it's always a pain to find the foods that I'm looking for.... but I've got SO MANY custom foods in fitday, as well as weights going back to 2009 and I haven't been willing to give that up.... wish there was an easy way to transfer the data.
  • Another vote for Lose It! because I like the way it tracks across my devices, and I love the barcode scanner when I'm using my phone. I haven't tried any others, though.
  • Ubergirl...that's what freaks me out about leaving fitday!!! I've got records going back as far as it will hold, and a HUGE custom foods list too!!
  • I'm addicted to My Fitness Pal. It has apps on Android, blackberry, Iphone, Ipad Iwhatever ! LOL It's great and you can scan barcodes!!
  • Jumping on the bandwagon of myfitnesspal. I use it on my Droid AND I go the website. I am going to try LoseIt, since I downloaded it months ago.
