I am down another half pound. That is better than being stagnant. I am so excited my husband bought me a heart rate monitor today. He has the prime account with amazon so I have him order thing for free shipping.
I will post more later but I am off to get set up for activtrax at the Y. Its like a trainer but through a computer. I am getting shown how to do the machines for strength training. I am so focused on getting this weight off.
carter, yikes! I'm glad everyone is okay. How freaky!
Lishar, I have a heart rate monitor and I like it. I like knowing how many calories I burn with exercise and it helps me keep my effort up. Good luck with that program at the Y.
Thousandsunny, have I already mentioned how much I love your profile pic? I saw that on Cute Overload a while back and it makes me smile every time I see it. There's something about bunnies.
I'm getting ready to watch the final episode of The Closer. I'm really going to miss this show!
Steph I am excited. Glad to hear you like yours. I found out the activtrax will download my workout from the polar watch after a workout. I just put it on the activtrax computer. Glad I bought that one.
dewittma- welcome
Thousandsunny- good job getting back to the gym.
Well the orientation went ok. I did not do any weight training today. It will take about a hour and a half to do the whole thing. I did not have enough time left. I can only leave my kids there for 2 hours. Just as well I needed to look up how to do some of the exercises.

Lishar- I hope you like the activtrax! I do! I enter my strength training on the Y computer right after I do it and then come home and enter all my cardio. I luv looking at my calendar page that shows all my exercise day after day!
I weighed in yesterday and had lost another 3 lbs. Yay! I don't weigh daily because I tend to obsess but I'm looking forward to Thursday's weigh-in.
Thanks for the wishes - that accident was the weirdest thing I have ever had happen, but it is really a miracle that it wasn't worse. Now begins the long slow process of getting the front entrance fixed and arguing with insurance companies to get it paid for.
As for plan: I managed to stay completely on plan yesterday (yay!) and weighed in back below 160 today - at 159. I will take it - period is coming so a few pounds of bloat is the best I can hope for.
I'd like people newer to this process to take note - even at my current weight, my fluid weight swings are still as high as 5 pounds - I am not sure exactly, but I know even that week of poor eating wasn't responsible for more than a pound or two of actual fat gain, at most. When I ballooned back up into the 160s over the space of a few days, most of that was fluid retention. So please, please, PLEASE don't lose heart when you see your weight go up (or not go down) for a week or two. Fluid swings can be BIG and can easily mask a week or two or three of real fat loss.
Hello everyone!! It has been a while since I last checked in. My vacation was fun, not as exciting as it could have been due to the weather, but fun. I ate and drank way too much alcohol and that combined with tom last week, my weight is outta control!! I know that most of it is water but man its scary. So I'm back on plan today and will hope for lower numbers to keep rolling through.
Back after a few days. I fell off the wagon for one day, then ate too much salt the next day, and paid for it in four pounds of water weight (yeesh). It's going back down. I'm down from 294.4 yesterday to 292.8 today. Shouldn't be long before I'm back to (and then under) my ticker weight.
