Had to giggle at those of you cheering the appearance of rain - it's been the wettest June on record here in the UK and the rain is utterly relentless. I so wish I could send some of it over to you!

One thing that always strikes me when I come back after a trip away is how green everything is, so today I will try not to grouch about it, but remind myself that it's such "a green and pleasant land" (as per the William Blake poem) BECAUSE of all that rain.

+ lovely impromptu lunch with Heather and the "girls" yesterday - hanging out with women in their forties keeps me young

+ glorious rain last night and today - my garden is happy

+ managed to "forget" the strawberry social and Don's 75th BD party so another mess of lousy food avoided

+ laundry is finally caught up

+ Disney goes to the groomer today - fluffy, furry baby cuddles tonight

+ weight stayed the same despite a bad-food weekend

I am so grateful to live where I live and see things like:
+ the great blue heron fishing behind the mill
+ a fox carrying a small animal across the road for her supper
+ a family of geese sitting at the side of the road beside the marsh
+ colts and calves doing "sprints" across the meadow

This is my grandparents house which I visited when I was a child and is my "Happy Place". I am so lucky to have piece of my childhood around me every day and grateful that circumstances brought me here.

I am so grateful that God answered my prayers with first getting me to actually attempt a 1st day of abstainence, to have made it thru that day and 4 more, a computer,and finding this website.
