- Aunt Mackie's funeral was so nice. There were about 30 people at the graveside... as she requested. We told some 'Mackie' stories while there - it was so wonderful. A long time family friend did a beautiful service. We gathered at her house for lunch after. I will miss her so much.

- rain last night was good for the flowers

- willingness to get on the scale this morning

- the pretty dark purple leaved tree in the front yard... so nice to look at

+ today we will repay the $12K the Township lent to the Soccer girls for their Sweden trip in 2010! Whew! That was a lot of bake sales and car washes!

+ lunch date with the Mayor today but I will stiffen my resistance muscle and not let him persuade me to run for Council

+ quilting meeting yesterday went well - we now have 27 completed quilts to respond to requests

+ Karen was very grateful for my hemming job on her pants

+ a relatively "easy" day ahead - now to keep it that way

+ May and the scents in the air! Even in the rain, I can smell the apple blossoms

- Mimi called to 'check up' on me because she knew I'd be feeling sad due to Aunt Mackie's death

- Cousin's father in law came through his pacemaker operation well

Today I am grateful for ....

+ my new garden helper who catches on really quickly

+ the ease of outside grilling, even for just one person

+ neighbour Moel fixed my garden cart and is going to till as soon as the earth dries a bit

+ sorted and pitched more clothing - to Goodwill today

+ lovely long talk with Shirl - it's great to have the same friend since we were 18

+ first asparagus from the garden yesterday

+ white violets

+ Liz is delighted to accept my pasta maker

- I made an appointment to have the foot/ankle doctor look at my ankle. And to see if he has some suggestions or magic. Time is what it needs. I would be OK if I didn't have to make the four hour drive.

- cool morning - the air is very still - it's nice

- Meg celebrated her 30 birthday yesterday... along with her twin sister. It's nice that they were in the same city for the celebration

+ got caught up on Mill bills this morning

+ Robyn comes to garden tomorrow unless it interferes with Mother's Day celebrations

+ another good picking of asparagus - I am blessed!

Oh dear! here it is Tuesday and no gratitudes for the past two days. I need to work on that.

+ three new staff at the Mill are smart and keen

+ found some planting barrels at a good price - locally!

+ finally finished Ted's final tax return for Donna - a challenge but I did it!

+ Good Food Box today - more fresh veggies to add to the asparagus

+ was able to reschedule pet therapy giving myself more garden time today

+ I'm grateful that I remembered my gratitudes today

- little GD let me comfort her when she was fussy yesterday. At first it was just Mommy or Daddy... but - she's getting to know me. It's a wonderful feeling and I am so grateful.

- DH is going to dig some things up for me for the swap on Saturday
