Default I have GAINED 7.6 pounds

It is so frustrating that is took me 6 weeks to lose that 7.6 pounds and only 2 weeks to gain it back.

As you can tell I have been "neglecting" my diet.

How much did you eat? It is probably a lot of water weight from eating a lot of sodium rich foods. Some of it will probably go away in the next few days if you drink a lot of water or tea. I hate when that happens, but don't let it get you down!

Aww, that sounds frustration. Fall down three times, get up four. You can do it.

I know what you mean. When I lost some weight last year it was months and months to lose about 15 lbs and like one month to gain 10. I couldnt believe how quickly you can gain weight when you really let things slide food wise.

Take it as a valuable (though tough and disappointing) lesson learned. I know now that when I do reach goal and go into maintenece, or if i take a break from losing, which I did when I gained back the weight, I will have to continue tracking everything I eat and drink. Before having that quick weight gain I was in denial and thought that once I lost weight I could just "sorta watch what I eat", and "Be sire to weigh in pretty regularly" and that with those tow things I could maintain weightloss pretty well.

I'm glas I learned the lesson now. I am mentally prepared to make these changes a lifetime thing. Now I dont look at what I am doing for weightloss as a "diet" or temporary thing. Which is also why I am trying to lose it in a way I can maintain in the long run (i.e. not cutting out food groups or avaoiding my favorite foods completely until I get to goal).

You can do this!! Time to regroup and get back on the wagon. You may be surprised and some of the weight may come off alot quicker this time.

Yeah, that! Hang in there. So sorry to hear about the gain, it is infuriating how fast it can go on compared to the work it takes to get it off! AH! Hang in there!

I am not giving up by any means.

I just got sick and off track and stopped doing what I need to do to lose weight. I stopped weighing myself everyday, I stopped drinking my 10-12 glasses of water everyday, I have not exercised once since 3/23 except to bend my arm to shovel food into my face.

Some of my weight gain is water retention from TOM which is due to hit any moment but the other 4-5 pounds is going to be from Taco Bell, Carls Jr and my three trips to Panda Express since 3/23. I got into a I "can't do this" funk and it took me a few weeks to shake it off. But I am back and more motivated than ever to get back on track!!

It's great that you are so motivated! I HATE how easy it is to gain once I stop paying attention to what it is I'm eating...

I almost got into the "can't do this" funk today, actually, due to a bad day at work and some Easter weight gain. I'm replying to this post after I got home from work, but I READ this post on my phone on the bus- and no joke, reading that you are so motivated really helped me avoid buying junk on my way home. Thank you for the inspiration!

Ugh, this has happened to me in the past, but it's always taken me months to get back on track! Glad to hear you're back.
