Morning all!!!

I am down .4 today; 292.8. I did not get to workout yesterday but I spent a LOT of time cleaning and moving around the whole day.

Angie sodium KILLS me! If I go above 1800 in sodium I for sure see the scale go up the following day.

Woot! Another .4lbs gone! I've been on track for the last few days, eating within my calories and working out a minimum of 30 min each day but I'm really worried about the upcoming weekend. I'll be in Vegas for the next 3 days and I know for a fact that a bunch of buffets and boozy drinks are in my foreseeable future. Two of my personal kryptonites.

My plan for vegas is:
- working out each morning
- putting less on my plates
- eating slowly and drinking more water
- drinking lower calorie drinks (i.e. Diet coke and rum)

Is there anything I'm missing? Words of advice would be much appreciated!

01. 247.4
02. 246.8 (-0.6)
03. 244.4 (-2.4)
04. 244.0 (-0.4)

Good afternoon, everyone!

Down 0.8 to 257.2 this morning. I think my plan for today is to drink as much water as I can...that was always my savior in the past! (I used to drink between 80-120oz a day.) Also, sometime this week, I'm going to start logging my calories on the Daily Plate again. Those two things combined worked like a charm last spring when I was losing weight the first time around. I wish I'd never stopped! Going to be hard to get back into the habit, but it will be totally worth it.

Okay, so I have a new found respect for people who cut carbs. I can't do it! TOM started yesterday and I had absolutely no self control. I binged I'm back to counting calories and eating carbs again. I think I would have lost more weight with carb elimination, but it just doesn't work as a lifestlyle change for me.
Have a great Wednesday, Everybody

Ok today's weigh in wasn't a surprise, 187.2 not good Ladies and Larry . I am not happy about this since it is close to 190. I had a lot on my plate this morning before work and didn't have time to make lunch. I did have my smoothie for breakfast so I did have good intentions they just didn't stick. I was so hungry when I came home I ate a little of everything. The worse being two beef hot dogs with Texas Pete chili on white buns. I kept Rissa home today also. Her hands were all bumpy. I used the cream that was prescribed but it didn't do much alone. I was told to get Zyrtec but didn't have the money for it. We were blessed today to be able to get it for her after Bible study so I pray that it works with the cream to help clear her up.

roxmysox maybe try increasing your calories. I remember Diana suggesting that I eat around 1600 calories and sure enough it starting things to moving again. I just need to be obedient to myself and do what I need to do to keep the scale moving in the right direction.

Hey Amanda

justaloozer good job on the 1.8 down yesterday for the new decade by Saturday good job on the .4 down today . I may know when my gains were coming and where/what they were coming from if I was recording my food like I should be. When I count and pay attention I try to keep my sodium low also, it definitely helps. Then why don't I and aren't I doing it idk

kwigg good job on the 1.2lbs down

Julie good job on the .5 down yesterday busy workout schedule ... just like Ona ... whew ... workout Queens Good job on the pound down today

Thanks Diana, yeah my SIL is coming home from Turkey (she teaches there) and she's throwing the gathering. I'm sure my MIL will be pleased, especially since she will get to see all of her grandchildren. They (hospital/rehabilitation) wouldn't allow anyone upstairs younger than 14 years old so she hasn't seen the ones that she normally sees daily in Washington for some time now. This will be a real treat, I just hope we don't tire her out. My husband is from a family of 5 so there are a ton of grands and great-grands. It's interesting to try to fit all of them some where, LOL. I'm an only child like you. This will be a great weekend for all. I'm hoping my Mom will come. ... Good job on the .4 down Rest well Oh Diana Chelle is supposed to call me tomorrow to let me know she is coming home on Friday

Angie some times it's got to be me, me, me. If you don't then would will, us, us, us . Well the good thing is you/we know that it's not 3+ pounds for fat so sodium we can get rid of ... you always have a plan, JUST DO IT, Ms. Nike Nice NSV not getting winded while running beside Cameron,

Caroline good job on the pound down , cashews (honey roasted) do me in also

Steph so that's a 1.4lb loss? way to go without trying

Mags good job on the .6 down and Congrats on reaching your first mini goal

Kukkie great whoosh way to go

Kelly I had another up this morning. My goodness I don't want to see 190 but at this rate it looks like I may. I didn't take lunch today so I came home and ate everything I saw before we went to church . I have got to find at least a little somewhere or I am gonna explode, I know it's not funny but if I can't laugh I may just cry if I see the 190's again.

Larry way to go 6lbs in the first 4 days of the month

Julz good job on the 3.4lbs gone

Hi littlefoxes good job on the .8 down

kifli TOM is a pain and at least you gave it a shot. I tried the Dukan Diet last year. It was so hard but I felt good because I did try

Good Morning, Everyone!

I probably shouldn't say this. Things always seem to end up biting me in the proverbial a$$. I am finally starting to feel normal from the soy reactions. I changed my bread/English muffins over a month ago. It seems like it takes forever for that to clear out of my system. This past weekend my weight went up from eating higher calories and more carbs/sugar than normal. But it is dropping back down now. That's the way it would work last Summer/Fall. My weight would drop, I would have a splurge day/weekend, it would bounce back up and then slowly go back down. Wash, rinse, and repeat. It worked well for me. Then came the Winter and something changed. I noticed the bread/English muffin company was using soy flour in their products. I don't know if that was the difference in how my body was reacting or not. Now that I have mentioned this, I guess I need to get ready for the proverbial bite in the a$$! OUCH! Something is going to change and backfire on me. For those who have been around for a while know that I am a continuous science experiment.

Calories for yesterday: 1460 +
Weigh In: 146.2
Down: 1.2 pounds

Another 2 pounds this morning. Before taking an almost 2 month break from dieting I had been on a plateau for a very long time. It sure is good to see the scale moving again,

01. Did not weigh
02. 220
03. 218
04. 214
05. 212

Good morning, all. Just a quick note to say - my BMI is in the normal range! I had sort of forgotten that was my next goal and then my weigh in this morning was 146.8 and I thought, wait a sec...OMG!

Diana, I like your attitude about the ups and downs. I'm hoping that's how it will work for me, with an occasional splurge day and then back to the plan. I'm glad to hear your soy reaction is finally subsiding.

qt, I totally hear ya on eating more when you're tired. I think it's partly psychological but also partly physiological - our bodies need something, and food is readily available even when we don't have time to rest. Most of my co-workers are average weight/normal eaters - but almost everyone gains weight during tax season because we all eat way more than normal.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Interesting Diana!
Larry you are almost in Onederland!
Nice Steph!

I lost 1.4lbs! I was sure I was going to gain because I ate more cals than usual. Probably about 2000. But I listened to my body and ate when I was hungry and stopped when I was satisfied. I also did a really good workout and remained pretty active yesterday. Todays weigh in 291.4. Hopefully I will see that change in decade soon!

Morning all!

I'm up a bit this morning: 196.2 That's okay, though; my usual pattern is to go up the day after a fast day, for what are probably obvious reasons. Also I'm rehydrated so that makes a difference too.

I'm off work until Monday, but my diet will be fine. Today I'll run some errands, and then I have a big sewing project to get started on. I should probably clean up around here some too.

Renni, I understand living in fear of being over a certain number. When I got back up to the 190s you'd think it would have stopped me from gaining more, right? Alas, I just shoved the scale in a closet and kept on eating carbs. So I'm undoing a lot of damage now, and every time I see a bump up on the scale, however temporary, I get frustrated with myself all over again for where I could be. Learn from my mistake! Good luck today.

Diana, your science experiment is very interesting! I am sort of the same way; the second I slip and let grains back into my diet, I stall, and if I start on the wheat again, forget it. I gain like crazy. I'm glad things are getting back to normal for you!

ChouKoe, welcome! It's frustrating, I know, but if you stick with your plan you'll see the numbers move again. Hang in there!

Larry, glad to hear things are headed in the right direction again. Sometimes we really just need a break.

Steph, congratulations! That's a big accomplishment.

justaloozer, wtg on the 1.4 lbs! Awesome.
