low calorie finds?

im always looking for low calorie "junk food"

right now i love

laughing cow cheese with veggies for dipping 35 cals a wedge

100 calorie popcorn bags

40 cal white bread

and jello (SF) 10 cals a serving

thats all i got .... anyone have anything to add to the list?

Beverlyjoy 03-20-2012 08:06 PM

I don't know if this is junk food - I like Kroger chocolate no sugar frozen fudge bars. I think several companies make these. About forty calories, I think.

Skinny cow chocolate cones at 150 calories.

MamaBravo 03-20-2012 11:10 PM

I have 2 favorites that arent really junk food, but well they help.
Low fat cottage cheese, with parmesan cheese mixed in.

low fat string cheese with some peanut butter spread on one side. Sounds a little gross maybe but it taste great, to me anyways. LOL the peanut butter helps with the sweet tooth.

those special K cracker chips---- 27 for 110 calories!
Goldfish crackers---55 for 140 calories!
baby carrots---14 for 35 calories

This stuff is great and ZERO calories.

You can't really eat it alone but it really fills you up when you mix it with veggies and some spices.

Here are my "go to" finds:
Trader Joe's chocolate nibs - one calorie each for a teeny piece of chocolate
Godiva Pearls - also very low but I forget exactly how many - maybe 25 calories for 8 of them?
PB2 chocolate peanut butter powder (can mix with water or greek yogurt or use in smoothies)
Big train low carb mocha drink mix
Starbucks iced coffee with sugar free mocha and sugar free caramel pumps
Pop chips
Shirataki noodles
Shellfish

I'll try to think of more!

Muggles, I absolutely love those noodles! They sell them here locally but under a different name, and I also like the tofu version and they only have 20 calories per serving and stand up a little better for pasta dishes :)

These are not all junk foods, but they are my subs for them ...

jello NSA puddings: 60 calories
cupasoups: range from 50 to 60 calories
pepperettes (turkey or others): 60 calories each
babybell cheeses: 60 calories each
slice cheeze: 50-60 cals each
celery boats w/chz whiz: 40 cals/tbl + 5? = 45 at most
source yogurts by yoplait: 35 cals each
strawberries: 10 x large = 37 cals
grapes: 1/2 cup = 50 cals
raspberries: 1/2 cup = 45 cals
rhubarb: 1 cup = 20 cals (I cook it then add sweetener)
chocolate yogurt ice cream: 1/2 cup = 90 cals
Chapman's yogurt ice cream bars = 90 cals each
popsicles: 60-90 each depending on flavor
100-calorie microwave popcorn

I'm addicted to the protein shake recipes at dashingdish.com I treat them as a meal replacement, so technically it's not "junk food". But it sure tastes like it! They seriously taste like a milkshake you'd get at a diner or McDonalds...absolutely delicious, lots of nutrients, and they taste like a big ol' thick shake.

Trader Joe's Roasted Seaweed Snacks. They're 30 calories a "serving," but there are two servings in a box, so it's 60 calories a "serving that a real person would actually eat." Whenever I go to the movies, I sneak in some. I mean, I'm not going to eat the popcorn anyway, and if they decided to sell roasted seaweed snacks there, I totally wouldn't sneak 'em in. Scout's honor.

I was just going to mention those! They are great! although I do eat movie theater popcorn pretty much every time I go to the movies. I love popcorn in general- especially the 94% fat free kind (regular or kettlecorn).

I also have hot cocoa, popsicles, a fillet of fish (frozen originally),...

I love low calorie sugar free instant dry pudding. I usually keep white chocolate, dark chocolate, and butterscotch on-hand.

I use it occasionally in my protein shakes and oatmeal when I feel like something a little different. :) I've made up some tasty combos like Snickers Bar protein shake with peanut butter, cocoa powder, dry butterscotch pudding, vanilla protein and Almond Joy with coconut extract, cocoa powder, vanilla protein and dry chocolate pudding. Vanilla protein, mint extract, and dry white chocolate pudding is tasty too!

Today I experimented and made a caramel apple oatmeal with plain oats, milk, diced apple, cinnamon, dry butterscotch pudding, and walnuts! It came out great!

While they arent totally a junk food, I do like FiberOne 90-calorie snack bars.

Ive found quite a few new favorites in the last month:
Frigo cheesehead light string cheese
Mini rice cakes-caramel corn flavored (Kmart)
Beef jerkey-high sodium, but low fat and cal
...and last but not least-chocolate cheerios (I love sugary cereal as a snack, and these are only 100 Cal for 3/4 cup...so I'm satisfied without going off plan)
