- cousin John will drive me to my post op appointment today. I realized that the hernia surgery (not the gallbladder part) says I can't drive yet.

- so mild out yesterday... all the neighborhood kids played outside yesterday. Fun!

- my new sweater is so soft

+ the ice is off the side walk - much easier to get into the car

+ a two-hour soak in the tub yesterday with tea, bubbles and my book

+ quickly did two financial reports - one to go

+ downy and hairy woodpeckers at the suet cakes

+ more snowdrops pushing up through ice

- I had a good follow up with the surgeon yesterday. He said I could now drive, start to do gentle stretching/core/walking, eat different foods, and more. I am grateful.

- Alex had a fun family dinner for his birthday.

- ate some skinny cow ice cream yesterday - tasted good.

+ the Fair Board meeting last night went well without me

+ did a short stint at the Mill Office and felt OK

+ my cold has definitely almost given up

- DH had such a good call from Mike last night. Says things are going well.

- recovering and healing from my two surgeries. It's been over a week now. I've made good progress.

+ a huge dump of beautiful snow has given me back my winter wonderland

+ lots of laughter at coffeetime at the diner yesterday - nobody talked about their own health or who was sick

+ took several hours to just read and relax in the afternoon

+ made lower calorie pasta carbonara for dinner

+ taking better care of myself lately as I recuperate

- yesterday I ate healthy foods - I am grateful for that. I got some Weight Watchers ice cream (raspberry ice cream dipped in dark chocolate - WOW - so good and only two grams of fat)

- fun to have Kara come over for her bday present along with her brother and sister

- I LOVE seeing pictures of friends and family on Facebook.

+ I love my grabber too! Yesterday it grabbed my cell phone that had fallen under my car seat

+ finished the end of year financial reports

+ made a meatloaf - very comforting on a cold night

+ giving up procrastinating for Lent is working

+ my cold lingers but is getting better .. I tell myself

+ Jazz has taken to smiling a lot - too funny

+ spoke too soon yesterday but coped well when my day fell apart

+ resolved several anomalies in reports

+ booked a birthday treat for my sister - West Side Story tickets for March 13

+ very cold but the world looks so much better frosted white

+ loving my propane fake woodstove and the thermostat

+ Disney was particularly loving and sweet last night

+ expecting antihistamines to work on the sniffles and sneezing that have re-apeared

+ hot and sour soup are on the cooking plan today

+ received the last two income slips yesterday and can finish my taxes
