I think as long as your comfortable answering the questions and and have supportive people around you its totally cool. Unfortunately some people (and it sound like there may have been a few there) who think you should just lose weight but still be able to eat their great food. They don't understand how that's not an option for everyone. If you are worried about offending these particular family members and maybe arent comfortable ruffeling the feathers of even the unreasonable family members then I would suggest eating a nice healthy but filling meal before hand or bring a super healthy choice that everyone can share.

There will always be those people who just don't get it weather it be family or friends. And sometimes they will not only be less than supportive but just down right rude. But remember there are always options and regardless of your choice its about whats best for you.
