Hey folks

A quick one for me, too, as I have a lot of work to dive right into today.

I want to thank you all for the encouragement. I managed fine yesterday, though, and stayed on plan. I got an hour of hard cardio in too, first workout in several days. I weigh in at 159, holding from yesterday, and still 1 up from my current low. It's all right.

Good luck and good strength today, everyone.

Hey all,

My stress test went well (as far as I could tell, no results until I see my doctor next week) and I'm down to 155 today. And I got some new bras that I totally love, so it's all good.

It sounds like everyone is having a crazy Wednesday!

Diana-No I didn't run last night. I've gotten into these running jags, where I'll run 3 or 4 days in a row, and then will take another 3 days off, and it's mostly because I miss running time in the evenings because of social outings. I may need to stay in a little bit more. 5K club meeting/run tonight, so that'll take care of it.

Hi Everyone!

TTOM decided to hang around another day. I'm on day 11 and so done with this thing!

We went to Olive Garden tonight. I ate the same thing I always eat, so my calories are good. I don't recall having a reaction to their food, although I do have sodium gains from it. A sodium gain is always better than allergic reaction. I'll see how this "test" goes. I haven't been there since I have really gotten tough on the soy.

Unstoppable Great job on that pound!

Pghgal Great losses! Keep it up!

Kukkie Congrats on the 2.1 pounds!

Carter Great job on getting that cardio in!

Qt Ugh! I hear you on the water weight. It can be a pain, but it does pass.

Steph Good news on the stress test. Keep us updated as you get info from your Dr.

Aka Maybe try to fit a run in every other day. That will still give you time for social events, but you are still working out consistently.

I'm down 1lb today...but still up from where I started the month.

Kris -- My Grama was the same, she didn't want to leave her home, so she hired a full time caregiver that stayed with her from 9-5 and my aunt moved in and lived with her and cared for her through the evenings. I hope you find a solution that works well for your mom too.

Diana -- Good job on your .6 today! Crossing fingers that you don't have any soy run ins from the Olive Garden.

Unstoppable, Jess, Kukkie Congrats on your losses!

Carter -- Good job staying on plan yesterday

Kelly -- Hang in there, TOM will pass soon!

Steph -- Good news on your stress test

Amanda -- Enjoy the run!

Angie-you can do this.

Diana-do you eat soy? or not eat soy? Tofu has become one of my new favorite healthy foods.

steph. carrot dance for your new bras. Glad you found the support you needed. ....sry...i had to...

qtapostolic-I'm with you on the soreness. My shins and legs ache and my ankles get swollen around TOM, so I feel ya. Way to get out there and walk anyway, it usually helps. Can't wait to see your numbers!

MamaP-I love that your mom has a facebook. Good on ya for getting that water down.

unstoppable-You're posting some solid numbers!! Keep it up!

Carter-way to get that work out in. I'm not sure what was happening before, but I'm trying to keep better track of everyone on the thread. Good luck lady!

Kukkie-Noooice numbers.

PGHGal-wonderful progress!

I slept through running club practice tonight (PMS exhaustion) OOPS. When I woke up I went on a quick solo run, about 1.7 miles. Can't wait to see the scale in the morning, and all your numbers.

Good night.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Calories for yesterday: 1430 +
Weigh In: 145.4
Up: .4

Angie Congrats on that pound! Are you getting excited about your trip to Nashville?

AKA I avoid soy. I am very suspicious that I am allergic to it. I have always avoided soy as much as possible since I am hypothyroid. Of course there is conflicting info about soy. I just don't need anything to slow down my metabolism. In fact, my Endo is against soy for her thyroid patients. That's enough proof for me.

New York Princess Hi and Welcome to the check-in.

Unstoppable Hi Yes, I'm in maintenance and have been since May, 2011. I continue to do the same thing I was doing while I was in weight loss mode. It worked then, so hopefully it will continue to work. KWIM? I actually prefer to weigh in the 143 range. I have finally figured out why I like this range. It's because if I have an allergic reaction, my weight would still be in a comfortable range, even with the extra water weight. Once people get to maintenance, they normally move on to the maintenance section of the forum. I have been morbidly obese most of my life. In fact, I was almost 400 pounds at one time. I think I will always have to work at this. So, for right now, it's best that I keep doing what works. I don't want to get the mindset that I am at goal and I can change things. That is a sure way for me to start having problems.

Morning!

No change for me this morning, which I'm quite grateful for because according to the app on my new phone, TOM is due to arrive today. Although I'm not quite sure how accurate the app is because it's different than the one I had on my BB, even though I've transferred the data over. I don't feel any TOM like symptoms, which I typically do. So who knows? It'll come when it comes.

I'm growing increasingly frustrated with the job search, and feel like my patience is being tested. I know the process can move slowly, but I guess it's just my frustration of being here day in and day out. I'm starting to dread the mornings because it means another day of work ahead, and I don't feel like you should feel like that. I'm at the point where I'd rather just leave, but I'm not a quitter! A friend gave me some good advice last week when she told me that in the corporate world, you're so much more marketable when you're employed, so as much as I want to leave, I won't until I have something in hand (or my contract ends). Sorry for the rant session!!!

Kukkie, it is better to be employed when you're looking for a new job. Recent studies here in the US have found that employers are much more likely to hire people who are currently working (which really sucks for the many people out of work). Good luck with your search!

I'm irritated at myself today because I forgot to bring something for dinner. I usually work until 7 or 7:30, then go home and exercise for an hour. Not being European, I prefer to eat dinner before 9 PM, so I need to eat here. It's Chinese food tonight and I don't like it, so I guess it will be Luna bars for dinner!

And my weight bounced back to almost 157. Argh. Let's all say it together: weight loss isn't linear.

Have a great day, all!
