It took me 40 lbs before anyone other than hubby noticed (I didn't even go down a stupid size!). Now that I've lost 80, every 5 lbs is noticeable, even to me, and especially in clothing (though it's a slower rate of loss now).

Don't give up. I always sabotaged at around 30 lbs because I was like "screw this, I'm working this hard and it makes no difference". I also second the idea to take pictures. I started taking one every 10-20 lbs. I didn't LIKE what I saw in the loss pictures either, but I could still tell a difference, even when looking in the mirror I could see nothing.

I just found this woman's blog and am going to post a link.

http://www.runsforcookies.com/p/progress-photos.html

Notice how different she looks from the first picture to the last, but there is very little difference for many, many pounds. In the end she looks like she is the daughter of the person in the first photo. give it time - the changes will come.

I spent like an hour on that runforcookies blog - what an incredible journey, what an inspiration and what a great blog (SO much detail!!!)
I admire people who can step out like that, give so much incredible information and be examples to the world.
This is so inspirational!
