Needing support...literally

So I want to work my way into running. I'm so far from it, but that it my dream. The thing is I need some serious support in the way of a bra made out of iron and steel. Seriously, where can I find a great sports bra? I actually prefer underwire if they make sports bras with that.

1. make sure you have the right size. Your band size=underbust. 90% of the support from your bra comes form your band, not the straps so this is an absolute must. If you need help with fit look here.

2. DON'T even think about buying a sports bra that isn't by your bra size because they are a joke.

3. Read the reviews linked on this page that include a number of sports bras made for busty women. Personally, I own a Freya Active and LOVE it. I have had zero problems with bounce and I'm a 30H (I own the bra in a 30GG, though)!

ETA: Many of the bras in those reviews come with underwire and Freya Active has a few underwire bras!!!!

Freda Active and any Elomi sports bra are excellent for large busts, but as already mentioned, be sure you have the right size! I went from wearing a 44DD to a 40I when I properly sized myself, and not only did my breasts look a whole lot perkier but the support from a correctly sized bra was an amazing difference.

When losing weight, also be sure to check your size often! I am a 36J now, and as I am losing more the band size and cup size don't stay the same, or even lose at the same rate as one another. Remeasuring every ten pounds or so is a good idea.

Title Nine. Their customer service is outstanding - you can talk to someone who's tried the bra and can talk gory details and make recommendations based on how you're built and what you want to do. They handle big sizes, too. There are bras in their catalog that sound exactly like what you are looking for!

This is a little more "do it yourself", but when I was at my biggest, I wore a regular minimizer underwire 36DDD with a large Adidas sportsbra over it.

Some people say that the underwire bothers them during exercise, but I never found that to be a problem for me. Honestly, I prefer the combo-- it really, uh, immobilizes 'em.

I like Moving Comfort. I wear the Fiona but they have styles with underwire too. You can enter your measurements and activity type on their site and it recommends styles and size based on that. They are cheaper to order on Amazon though.
