Who's Ready for a Fabulous Week? ME!
I have my game plan...delicious food, great weather, tennis shoes and a super cute (and flattering) sports jacket. Ok, the clothes don't matter, but it's nice to feel like I look decent too. The kids walked with me last week and loved it, so I'm hoping to do that again!
Hoping to lose 2 pnds this week. I'll weigh in on Sunday.
It's a one day, one week at a time thing for me. Anyone want to join me?

I am also hoping for a fabulous week. Last night I went for a walk with dear husband for the first time in years. I realized I would rather walk a mile and a half with him than run 3 miles by myself. Hopefully we can keep up the momentum.
I have my food packed for the day and I am going to stay on plan this week and lose those exact same 2 lbs as you.
Here's to a FAB week!

Count me in. Who doesn't want a fabulous week?!!! I'm back on plan after a bit of laziness over the holidays.

I would also be happy to join. First really very good eating day in ... I can't even remember (must keep food diary more diligently) and 2 hours of exercise with zumba and TRX and my TRX instructor telling me that she was proud of me and that she notices my progress. How awesome is that for a Monday?
My weekly goal will be to get to the gym 5 times this week, so one down, four more to go. And in addition to work on my food choices and eating habits (small but to me very big example of good behaviour was preparing sautéed veggies for afternoon snack and dinner in advance yesterday and also today for tomorrow and eating desert when I really wanted to but being able to stop after 3 bites and leave it unfinished. And guess what? Nothing happened. I could really do that and still be completely happy to have had my desert, I did not mourn the remainder of it at all!)
Can't wait for the rest of this Fabulous Week!

I'm ready for a great week, too!
I seem to be on a perpetual plateau, so I've decided to focus on fitness instead of the scale. It's also time to revamp my diet by adding calories, so I'm looking at new healthy ways to eat more (to break the plateau).
I'm hoping the weather will be good to ride my new bicycle. If not, I'm prepared with indoor workouts.
I'm reveling in finding ways around all my obstacles!

Yay! Glad I'm not alone!
Lizz...good for you! And a few bites of dessert...awesome! I am awful at stopping with a dessert if it's huge, but I do eat pretty small portions of something sweet every day.
Salley...it's amazing what adding calories will do!
I had an almost excellent day. I bought an iced coffee and it made me sick. I actually don't like coffee but am hooked on Starbucks frappucinos...which can take up a lot of calories. So I tried an iced coffee..which actually tasted great but the caffeine made me sick!! Heart pounding, cranky, stomach ache, headache, etc. Ruined my afternoon and Im just coming down from it. So, no exercising, but thats on the plan for tomorrow!
Eating today was great and Im satisfied.
Here's to an excellent day!

The scale moved down this morning!
Not excellent but good eating day and incorporated more activity by parking the car farther away at work, taking the stairs. Heading for zumba again tomorrow night.
Overall, Tuesday was a good day.

Have fun with your Bodybugg! I just got one, too, and have been wearing it since Jan. 7th. Let's compare notes...

I was just about to ask "Just what is a BodyBugg please?" and then realised that I might as well google. It looks like a complicated electronic toy, the kind that guys enjoy playing with indefinitely.
Did someone recommend it to you? Curious to hear how it works out for you ladies.
Today has been an excellent day with very good eating and a decision of zumba vs. work in favour of zumba in the late evening. Must rush to bed now though since in exchange I need to get up at 5 AM to meet my late morning work deadline tomorrow. Scale moved down this morning as well, I am hopeful for a trend starting to show.
How is everyone's fab week progressing?

I would love to jump into this post. I have been having a fabulous week and a great start to the New Year. I have already lost 8lb so far, but that is normal for me after being off plan since August and having gained 20lbs back.
I have been wearing the BodyMedia armband which is like the BodyBugg and I love it, but I am a gadget geek. I love seeing how many calories and steps I have each day. It helps to keep me motivated to move more.

Hello,
Not sure I am doing this correct. Just joined today
I like what you said about the jacket, I find when I like
what I am wearing and feel good/comfortable in it, I am
in a better mood. It also motivates me to stay on track
any pointers for being new here would be appreciated. Thank U

Hello,
You mentioned the arm band gadget. I have tried different pedometers
and non of them worked well for me. They were the type you attache to
waist band, it would count steps when I barely moved.
Is the one you are using pretty accurate?

I found out about the BodyBugg from Biggest Loser. They all wear those while on the ranch (and probably even at home). I fooled with it for about 3 hrs today trying to figure it out. I'm excited to use it, for I like logging info and monitoring progress.
Good day overall. Scale is down a bit tonight! I'll take it. Thinking about re-joining the gym. Dont think ill be taking any zumba classes though. So not coordinated.
DaybyDay...Welcome! Jump right in and the best advice I can give is to check in every day (whether or not you're on plan for the day). It helps to stay in touch.

Well, this fabulous week happens to fall on the 1 year anniversary of my "life journey!" That makes this a really fabulous week for me. And last night I heard that the rate of obesity in the US dropped 1/2 of 1%. That's a start and we're all part of it.
Exactly one year ago I joined a gym and decided to try to get healthier. I had no medical troubles, really, other than being way too heavy.
One year ago I could hardly do a single push-up, sit-up, or tricep dip, and I couldn’t hold a plank for more than a few seconds. Even the easiest “body conditioning” class had me huffing and puffing and pausing to rest several times during a 45 minute session.
Last night we had a 60 minute “boot camp” where we did 50+ push-ups, tricep dips, crunches, sit-ups, etc., among other exercises that would have had me on my knees last January. After that was Karadio X (as in “extreme”) for 45 minutes.
If you had told me this was possible a year ago, I would never have believed you. One year is less than 1.7% of my total life so far. Small amount of time, huge difference. Totally worth it. And I also lost over 90 pounds by October 1st, and I've stayed at that weight with less than 3 pounds of fluctuation since then. Weigh in day was yesterday - 162.0.
If I can do this at 60 after being over 250 pounds for 25+ years, anyone can. I wish you all a fabulous week - month - year - life.
