I get it. Most of us overweight singles do I'm sure. I have had relationship after relationship with the same story- I feel like I'm not good enough so I put myself in a relationship that isn't good enough. Fact of life no one wants to sleep with someone because of their personality

I have decided to put my dating life on hold until further notice. Sex isn't great for me anyways when I'm overweight because I spend the w-h-o-l-e time self conscious even when the guy is clearly into it. Same with just going on dates.

There's nothing wrong with enjoying the attention! Just make sure you are healthy on the inside too before jumping into a relationship. I have coworkers that talk about dating "skinny girls that still think like fat girls", women that are easy to manipulate and will give up everything for a little attention. Be careful and truly love yourself before anyone else!

Great job on the weight loss so far, here's to you being healthy inside and out!

Martini - I try not to think about it. I guess I am so worried about being that bitter single old lady. But you are brave and honest, there is a little part of me that wants that and gets sad when I think that I will probably never have it. I feel crazy because it gets to the point where I would give anything just to have a hug. And even that seems like too much too ask.

I think I would have a hard time if all of a sudden I started getting attention. I consider myself lucky, I live in a small town where everyone knows everyone. No matter how much weight I lose they will always see me as they do now. Which means no dating prospects still but... at least I know I doubt I'll be treated any differently.
