New Year's Day Challenge
Have a weight, fitness, or general health goal you want to meet by New Year's Day? Or even just Christmas Day? Join us! You can start at any point during the challenge. Weigh-ins or other types of check-ins can be on whatever day works for you.

I'm working on a Thanksgiving Challenge right now. I would like to be 340 by then but I would be happy with 345. So, let me see... for New years day, which is 9 weeks away, I want to be 329. That would be a loss of 27 pounds and 3 pounds a week. Lofty goal but I'm not going to be upset if I don't hit it.

Over the last 4 months I know that I can lose 5 lbs a month max. So I will shoot for something achievable. And if I do achieve it I will be in a whole new calorie decade!

I'm doing about a bazillion challenges already but they are WORKING! So I'm in! My normal WI day is Sunday but I'm using today's happy weight for my starting point.

Nothing wrong with one more challenge. I am in a Christmas one to loose 20 by Christmas day. So I'm going to see if I can loose 25 by New Years Day.

I'll jump in here, too. My goal is to maintain at 160 - 162 pounds indefinitely. My first month of maintenance went well. I need just as much support to maintain as I did to lose, so I'll be in here often. I'm only weighing on the first Wednesday of the month, so today is it for November.
November 2 - 161.2
I'll check in often, but probably won't post a weight until the first Wednesday in December. I'll do a final check in on 12-31. That's going to be a tough one because of the holidays, but that's the whole point, isn't it - to keep on plan even with the holidays.

Interesting, I think I'd like to try. The goal that's been eluding me FOREVER is 174, which is 100 lbs lost. I'm only 2 lbs away, but I've been 2-4 lbs away for a looooong time. I'm in a Thanksgiving Challenge on the CC board and this is my goal for that challenge.
Once I get there, I'd like to get out of the 170's before Christmas. Between Christmas and New Years I just hope to maintain, then back to losing mode after that

I just met my Thanksgiving mini goal, so I am happy to join another challenge!
To start 2012 in the 190's
I will weigh in every Thursday, sinc that is what I have been doing for the Thanksgiving Day challenge.
