Well, the scale isn't moving, and I know that I need to "get moving" if I want it to. My goal is to get serious about exercise, but I am not sure how to begin. I've been doing short walks, dancing, but nothing measurable or consistent. Due to a tight schedule for the remainder of January, I'm not sure if I will be able to make progress in this area until February. However, I am thinking about joining a gym soon. I just can't decide which one.
Finally, I got the scale to see things my way. lol Guacamole, I just walk and walk and try to run on the treadmill. I get up a half hour earlier than I used to and do just a 20 minute circuit. It is SO hard doing that, but I am much happier and stronger the rest of the day.
I am so excited for the 2-teens I can taste them. They taste better than Chocolate Cake.

Typical me! Stuck at 169 for the last 3 weeks! I know I need to add more exercise to get the scale moving. At least I didn't gain! Good luck to everyone!
I am done with the poor me bandwagon. I am not on a plateau, I am off plan. I need to stay on plan more than 5 days a week for it to be a success. No more pouting, no more crying. The blame is right here, me, and only me. I need to get through this one day, one hour at a time. I did it for a year, I can get back to the plan, Right now!

I have a "mid-goal" of losing 30 lbs by June 1st. I'm starting today and was looking for a good place to keep track of my weekly losses. To reach my goal, I need to lose a bit more than 1.5 lbs a week. I'm still overweight, so this goal is achievable. I just have to tread carefully.
I thought a little bit of solidarity would help me move forward, so I saw this thread and decided to join!
I'll do "official" weigh-ins every Sunday.
So, I'll be back Sunday!

That's the perfect number! If I lose about 6.4 lbs every four weeks, I'll pretty much hit my goal.
cathi888: I'm sorry you were discouraged. I know how you feel. Maybe you could adjust your goals for this year to make them more achievable? That's what I tend to do when I get off track for too long. Sometimes that helps me. And congrats on being so close to the two-teens!!
guacamole: I've been having issues with exercise too. I'm busy and it's FREEZING here. So I do home workouts 1/2 hour daily. That's 3.5 hours a week. Not bad. I try to not push myself too much, or I ALWAYS quit.

Hi, everyone. this thread has been slow, so I hope this bumps it up. I weighed in officially yesterday (first Wednesday) and was 162.2. I'm trying to stay between 160 and 162, so I need to stop slacking! Candy kept calling my name, but I managed to eat all of it and now that voice has been silenced! LOL Bad thing that I ate it, good thing that I didn't feel compelled to go buy more!

Considering I am in the middle of TOM and I ate really badly last weekend and Monday, I guess I am glad I didn't show a gain. I started exercising on Monday, and continued for 5 days this week. So, maybe if I keep up the exercise and watch my diet and wait for TOM to end, next Friday I will see the scale go down? Here's hoping!

Eh, not bad. I ate way too much one day this week, so I knew I wasn't going to make it. That's okay, my bigger goal is 6.4 lbs every week. Hopefully I can make it up next week.
