Weighed in at 164lbs on my official Friday weigh-in. I haven't weighed myself so many times in 1 week for about 10 years! I usually can barely stand to weigh once a week. I think I must have been "feeling" that I was losing, and wanted the confirmation/motivation.

Anyway, I really needed the loss this week, because being stuck at 169 for over a month was very demoralizing! So, the take away lesson for me is to keep staying on plan even through the plateaus - eventually your body will get the message and drop the pounds!

Congrats, guac. I'm clinging to the 150s, and just bounced back up to 157. I hope you join me soon!

The 170s thread is pretty dead so I thought I'd jump in and just say Hi, if that's ok... 4 more lbs until I'm officially here!

Hey fyre! Loving the avatar pic!!

AFM, I <3 whooshes--159.8 this morning! Will be sticking around here for a pound or two since I'm just on the bubble. I'm so excited though--only 5.3 lbs to go to be at a healthy BMI!

LOOK AT YOU GO! How exciting!!

Thanks for the compliment. I'm so camera phobic (I'm a pro too but that's not entirely uncommon) and especially a self portrait. I'd be lying if I said I didn't doctor it a bit but it was a big step for me, so thanks for noticing

Down another pound today! So 161.1lbs. Actually, 160.9lbs popped up for first but at the last second it went up to 161lbs. Hopefully I'll be out of the 160's soon!

Hey, guac, I saw your post on another thread saying you're trying for 1200 calories a day. We've got similar stats (although I'm a lot older) and my advice is to eat a little more. I was famished on 1200 and have gone up to 1500-1600 a day (with an hour of exercise 6 days a week) and I'm losing about a pound a week. Not as much as I'd like, but not bad. We're both getting close to our goal, so it's going to be slower. Good luck!

Steph - yes, I think I am going to be more lenient with myself in terms of daily calories. It just seemed that during the week, I was always eating less than 1400 and sometimes less than 1200. However, it seems that my natural inclination is to calorie cycle by eating more over the weekends - way over 1500 calories. Overall, if I have a general weekly calorie range that I stick to, it all evens out in the end.
