Unhappy small rant

everyone else has been doing so well, i hate to be the parade-rainer. but i'm just really dissapointed.

i was very excited about my weigh in today. it had been a week. i've been on plan all week. eating healthy. i exercised everyday. i hadn't lost since mid december, and i was ready for it.

i gained a pound. i'm at 222. i'm just so exasperated. i mean, other times i've gained, i can pinpoint where i went off. the day i binged. or that i'd been lazy. but NOT THIS TIME!!

david has 4 theories. can you let me know what you guys think?

the first is, i am on my period. started this weekend. how much do you guys gain then?

second is, i've started light weightlifting. could i have possibly gained muscle?

third, that when i'd been doing the bike, i wasn't working hard enough.

fourth, that i'm not eating enough. (i say at 1200 most days)

i'm trying not to get too upset, to avoid eating all these things: but i don't know what to change.

Angry cheking in

I am down two this week!

So, that's 9 total

Gonzo, I'd say the period thing is for sure it!! If you're only up one now, by the time it's gone I would guess you'd be down 2!! No worries. If you've been OP, you're good to go! Sometimes it just takes the scale a few days to catch up.

Well, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, I was at the doctor yesterday with my daughter (who has pink eye) and weighed my self and was 275. I am at the beg. of my TOM so I account for a little there. But I am now back on track and ready to go.

Hi Kittymilk! It feels great to answer your question and I'm planning little things that will eventually add up to a makeover - hair, eyebrows, contact lenses, new eyeglasses, ears pierced maybe, new clothes.

Holly - I would definitely chalk a pound up to PMS water weight. I bet you lose it and more next week.

Holly -
I'll bet it's water retention. (Had a long bout of that myself a month or so ago). Hang in there and STAY AWAY FROM SALT!

Wow, you guys are doing so well! I gained again this week, so I'm up two pounds in two weeks This week I deserved it, though (had almost as many bad days as good days).

Congrats to all!! I'm not posting cuz this is not a weigh-in week for me.

Gonzo/Holly ... definitely time-of-month gain. That's one of the reasons I'm weighing every two weeks ... it won't be as noticable. I can gain 3-4 pounds of water!!! PMS for me consists mainly of SALT cravings, which of course leads to water retention and discomfort. eeek!!

Gained 1 pound this week & feeling pretty blue about it. Don't know what my problem is. I was pretty much on plan the entire week.

Hoping it will go back down next week.

OK, I've gained again. Back to 205.5. I keep losing and gaining the same 1.5 pounds. I guess that it's not too bad, as I've been very anti-diet, anti-exercise, and anti-healthy eating lately.

Hi Everyone,
Gosh this is inspirational to read all the losses and relate to the struggles. I am at 238, a slow crawl for sure.

Gonzo, I did weights for awhile and definately gained muslce mass. The additional muscle helped my aerobic workouts become more effective though. When I am pms-ing, I can be up 5 pounds.

Down 3.5!!!!! Plus it's TOM, so maybe even a bit more!!! That is a total of 6.5 since 1/1/03!!! Not sure if I'll make my Valentine's Day goal of 12 lbs, but this definitely helps!!!
