The next three days are going to be HARD!
Morning all! I'm at work at the bright happy hour of 6am! We have training online for the next three days and it is scheduled in the eastern time zone so we have to come in two hours early every morning. Not only that but there are only short breaks where we do team work so all meals are being provided to us by our company. Unfortunately they opened a PO at a mexican restaurant and all our food is going to be ordered from there. This is like, american mexican, not real mexican, its lard, lots of cheese, greasy beef and possible cockroaches. *thinking about the cockroaches will work in my favor right?*
I'm doing the attack phase of Dukan for the next 8 days and on my limited protein menu, unless I order a $30 cut of fish and have it prepared plain everything on the menu is off the table. So, while everybody else in the office is eating mexican (one of my favorite cuisines) I will be munching on grilled chicken breast.
This morning when I came in at 5am to set up all the IT stuff for everybody to participate the IT guy brought donuts and OJ. And then the nursing lead showed up with sausage egg and cheese breakfast sammies. Oy today can not get any more difficult and tempting. I wish I could just suddenly come down with a terrible illness the prevented me from coming to work.

boy, I feel for you! Long days and limited choices are always a difficult situation. Hang in there and keep thinking about how good you will feel at the end of the day when you stayed OP.
I had been trying to look at one day at a time. More recently, I've been looking at one choice at a time. "Can I choose not to eat (whatever) for just this one meal?" Usually we can make the right choice if we think we only have to do it once! Then the next time, choose again - one at a time.
Easy to say when there isn't a table full of bagels, donuts, and free food in front of me . . .
Hang in there - you can do it, one choice at a time.

Thanks for the support, the clipboard and menu for the lunch order is being passed around the room right now and I'm texting my BF to bring my food early so I've already eaten by the time their stuff gets here and starts tempting me. Having already eaten may help me resist but if I'm starving when it gets here I'll have no willpower.

^This. Also, even if you make a poor choice, you might also still choose to mitigate the the impact of your choices. A slip doesn't have to become a freefall. If a donut somehow finds its way into your hand, you can always take a bite then throw it away, or have water with it instead of OJ.
You can do it!

Mango30 - I like theox's quote, too. Maybe we should meet at a tattoo parlor somewhere half way!

Don't let yourself be hungry while you are surrounded by this nonsense. Think of some way to reward yourself for making it through so that you have extra motivation.
I might have to join y'all at the tat shop. For now it has been added to my post-it wall.

OK - Alaska, Arkansas, Pennsylvania - where can we meet that's a mid point for all of us? Maybe Montana or Idaho. DD talked me into getting a matching tattoo with her about 6 years ago - I can do this again!

Mango, I didn't even realize you were from AK, me too! I knew I felt a connection somehow. Where are you, I want an update so I know if you'll beat me at tomorrow's weigh in for the Halloween challenge. *snark*

Hi, day two at the office of my discontent. Yesterday was a struggle but I made it all the way through without cheating. Thank goodness. And as a sweet little reward I had a loss on the scale this moring that put me at 5 lbs total for the week.
LinJber, I want to get a tattoo on my arm, but I have to have slimmer arms so I can show it off...can we put the tattoo vacation on hold for a few months? Lol!
Ghost, I live in Dutch Harbor, home of the show from the discovery channel that annoys the crap out of every local on the island because its all a big fake lie with more drama then the Real Housewives of all the cities put together. OMG, I hate DC. Oh, and BTW, I totally beat your loss for the Halloween Challenge!! Neener neener neener!

Great job, Mango! One day done, 2 to go. I hope you have as good a day today as yesterday. One choice at a time . . .
We can do the tats whenever. Your call! It seems like Trishn222 is in on it, too, and hopefully will line up a place for us in Idaho!
