Default Thanksgiving Challenge

Thanksgiving comes earlier in Canada than it does in the US, but I'd like to target the American date since I'm going on a cruise that weekend I hope some of you will join me!

My weight loss has been slow lately, but I'm going to challenge myself to do better than I have been...so I'll aim for 6lbs per month, which will put me 30lbs lighter by our end date.

Since TG is on a Thursday I'll use Thursday dates, but weigh in whichever day works for you in that week.

My Mini Goals:
1) Workout 30+ min 3x/wk by 6/30/2012
2) Workout 30+ min 4x/wk by 7/31/2012
3) Weigh less than 225 by 9/9/2012
4) 150 (Goal Weight suggested by my doctor and 35% weight loss)

I've also fallen victim to a very slow loss period and need to get out of my slump, and I like mixing up challenges with both mid-week and week-end weigh ins. With 20 weeks, I think it is possible that I could get down to the normal BMI range; so I'll shoot for 27 pounds total loss for the challenge.

I'm going to join this one too since I started a challenge in the chics up for a challenge board and this challange lasts about a month longer, this way I won't give up as soon as my other challenge is over. My goal for the first challenge is 215 by 10/31 so I would definitely love to make it to 199 by Thanksgiving, and be in onderland again at last.

I'm in. I am in a couple short term challenges, but this will be great for the long run. When I started losing in January, my goal was to lose 100 pounds by Christmas, but I think I can move that end date up to Thanksgiving, especially if I have a good challenge to keep me going. I have 30 pounds to go, so I think I might be able to do it, or at least get very close. I weigh in on Wednesday, so I'm going to use yesterday as my staring weight for the challenge. I'll just edit my original post on a weekly basis. Thanks for the inspiration. My goal for this challenge is to actually hit my goal weight of 152 pounds by Thanksgiving.

EDITED -Since I decided to hold at about 160 - 162 and am now maintaining, what I really should do is weigh in one more time on the first Wednesday in December to see it I managed to maintain over Thanksgiving.

July 6 - 182.0
July 13 - 180.0 (2 gone / 28 to go) Woo Hoo!
July 20 - 178.0 (4 gone / 26 to go)
July 27 - 176.0 (6 gone / 24 to go - what's up with the exactly even poundage all month?)
Aug 3 - 176.0 (same as last week! 6 gone / 24 to go)
Aug 10 - 172.8 (9.2 down / 20.2 to go)
Aug 17 - 171.6 (10.4 down, 19.6 to go) Not sure I'm going to make my 30 pound goal, but will keep on trying!
Aug 24 - 171.0 (11.0 down, 19 to go)
Aug 31 will be on vacation - hope this helps keep me OP
Sept 7 - 167.6 (Woo Hoo! Lost on vacation! Down 14.4, 15.6 to go) Just about half way through the 30 pounds!
