Wyllobelle - I think you can meet this challenge. I started at 252 and have been losing an average of 2.5 pounds a week overall since January 13th. It seems to be slowing down a bit now, but I'm smaller now, too. Stay focused and let your steady losses be what keeps you on plan. You are a lot younger than I am, so you have that in your favor. I'm sure you can maintain at least 2 pounds a week for a long while.

Lin -- Yes, it's been super hot here in Toronto too, and I do find that makes me retain water. Last week I ate out about 3/4 of my meals, so lots of sodium. Hoping for some good news by this Thursday.

Rennie -- Thank you! Yes, I will work through this. I'm so grateful for good friends like you to support me

FutureThoughts - Thanks

Trish -- Good job on your 1.4 thsi week!

Larry -- You're doing great, if you keep that up you'll hit your goal for sure!

SevenCallMeMom -- Awesome job on your 2lbs

SMSDreamer -- Great job on your loss!

AprilSnow -- Hang in there! Keep working your plan and you'll see a loss soon. Oh, I see your update, great work!!!

Roxy -- You are rocking it! Good job

Mango -- Nice work on your 4lbs!!!

STar -- I'm with you...stick with it, we'll work it out.

Jami -- You are a rockstar! You are making me very proud to you!

Mandy -- Amazing week for you, congratulations!

Angie we have each other thank goodness. I am totally grateful to you for getting me through last year, you started mentally preparing me in October because your Thanksgiving comes earlier. I remember like it was yesterday. It's great because it's YOU my online friend(s) that fully understand all that I go through and always always catch me when I fall. You dust me off, tell me to stand up and try again

Lin - Thanks for the support and Feedback. I appreciate it! I am tracking my food at Livestrong.com and I have it set to 2 lbs a week, so I thought that was a good starting place. I may lose more at first (That's the trend, right?) But I figured 2 a week is a good average.

your success is inspiring!

So ladies, When do we report our numbers? I can see how weighing on Monday might stink (weekends being harder for Many folks). Is there a typical day we report?

Learning the ropes,

i think angie set up dates on her first post of thursdays, because goal date is thanksgiving in the US (4th thursday in november), but challenges such as these are uber flexible. if you've got a regular weigh-in, you can shift the dates forward or back to accommodate.

good luck!

Great job so far everyone! Looks like there were A LOT of losers this week!

Angie -- Awww...thanks!!! And right back atcha!

Wyobelle -- Ditto what Mandy said. My "official" WI day is Friday so that's when I'll post. But I do WI daily so I'll probably finish the challenge out with a Thursday WI. (NO WAY am I weighing in the morning after Turkey Day!) Oh yea, and ditto Lin too. Losing 2lbs/week is a completely realistic goal.

Ain't it grand to be called a loser?

if you go back through the first page or two of posts, you'll see that people set up a post like this http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/3926255-post23.html and update our weight on it each week to keep track over time, along with posting a new post.

My standard WI day is Sunday so that's the day I'm putting in but I'll WI on Thanksgiving day to for a final weight for this challenge.

I weigh in on Wednesday, but will post on Thanksgiving as a final weight. VERY EARLY in the morning on Thanksgiving. WAY, WAY before anything hits my lips! And since my WI day is Wednesday, I have 5 whole days to get that turkey off my butt!

Actually, I spend Thanksgiving at my ex- SIL's house - with my whole ex in-laws! I have no family in the town where I now live. DD usually comes home for Thanksgiving. (She is in NC.) Her dad's sister has dinner and invites DD. So they won't be taking her away from me for the whole day, I get invited, too! Ex-husband, his wife, grandpa, aunts, etc, and ME. I love it, actually. And since I don't see them very often, it's gonna be GREAT watching their reactions! LOL. This challenge has pushed me to move my goal up to Thanksgiving. I hope to have lost 100 pounds by then. Nothing is going to throw me off this course - at least for vey long!

Tomorrow is WI day - hope for the best - I spent today with friends in Cleveland at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We had a great day. Packed lunch and tailgated, but had supper out. I ordered a great romaine / pear / blue cheese / balsamic vinaigrette salad with pecans, but there were several sides and appetizers ordered to share. Spinach and artichoke dip was to die for, but I only had a little. Very salty. Yesterday and today I was at 75 pounds lost - hope I can change my ticker in the AM!

Goodnight all.

Lin
