Default In the 260's and Looking for a Buddy

I really need someone whom i can text, someone who can keep me accountable for my actions. It would be nice to find someone close to me, I am in Mississippi. Anyone whom is looking for a buddy, preferably a female, cause im a girl and really need someone who can understand what us females go through.

Ok well I guess I give up. I wish I could find someone on the sMe journey I am on. I am having such a hard time. And a few years ago I found help on a board that is no more. I just wish I could find another like that one. I lost over77lbs.

Look around you. This board is full of people who are on the same road as you, fighting the same struggles.

I suggest you try interacting with them, with all of us who are already right here sharing our experiences every hour of every day.

The support is here. Read the threads. Post to them. The support you want is already here. What are you struggling with, in particular? Ask your questions, express your struggles, and I guarantee that you will find gobs of support.

That's what the board is for. Requesting that a total stranger volunteer to play the food police for you via text, though, is maybe not the best way to use the board. And it's a shame if you decide the board as a whole is of no use to you because a whole 12 hours later you don't have any takers for that position.

Goals:
* Make the best choice I can make, with every choice.
* Remember that the temptation in front of me is not the last of its kind that I will ever see; say "I'll pass today."
* Say "no!" to my whiny inner five-year-old.

What Carter said! These boards are a wealth of knowledge and support. Jump in with both feet, you're warmly welcomed!

I would second the notion that you have a whole board full of buddies right here! Jump in with both feet. I have learned so much form the folks at 3FC. People have such different approaches, thoughts, ideas and strategies, why not open yourself up to them? Read, post, share. It's an awesome place!!!

Thanks everyone, I have been reading a lot on the boards, but for some reason I just cannot keep the motivation at all. I will have a few good days, then more bad ones. It seems that I have lost all control, when it comes to food, and don't know how to say no to myself. I hate this feeling, and I love the feeling i get and the energy i have when i am in control. This board certainly is so full of info, and lots of people, just sometimes you need that instant moment when you can shoot someone a text, and them shoot one right back instantly so that you feel the support in that moment. I am learning a lot from this board, and i will keep reading and posting. thanks so much for the help, and the support.

I know what you mean about motivation. Something that I've learned here on the 3FC boards is that it's not about motivation it's about commitment. Sometimes you do something because you're committed to it, not because you feel like doing it, you know?

Fake it 'til you make it is also remarkably effective when it comes to healthy eating.
