I am back after foolishly stopping being on any sort of a diet and of course I gained nearly all my weight back. Again.

Hey, ladies! Bounced up a pound today, but I'm not freaking out yet because I had theater popcorn (no butter, but tons of salt) late last night and didn't get any water in yesterday, just extraordinary volumes of Coke Zero. And TOM popped up last night. -_-

BeTrue, so your Wii went up from 219 to the high 220s in that time frame? Or you had an old scale that said 219 and now the new one and your Wii say high 220s? Don't worry about it either way — you know you have to be losing if you're working so hard, so try to ignore the bounce and focus on what happens next. I know it doesn't help much, because I feel the same way when I see an irrational bounce, but just try to hang on!

Swim, congrats on the .9! That reminds me, I want to get a scale with .1s. Mine counts by .2s.

Rhonda, nice drop! I love your bracelet idea! It's a real-life version of these little smileys some of us put at the bottom of our sigs for every 5 or 10 pounds. I think I might copy the idea, if you don't mind

Diana, I'm chuckling at your dialogue. I always feel my rings to try and judge water weight. After I saw your post, I googled water retention and ring tightness, and someone said to test if you're retaining water, you can hold your arm above your head for a few minutes and see if your ring is looser afterward. Sure enough, my ring would barely come off before and slipped right off after that. I guess I should put down this Coke Zero and grab some water...

starbrite, good for you for your dancing adventures I'd love to go dancing more — I did it at least once a week last semester, but my problem is that I'm terribly shy and self-conscious, so I haven't gotten the courage yet to go dancing without drinking, and I can't trust myself yet to drink just one or two and avoid the drunk munchies. *sigh*

My scale went from reading 219 to 226 (and other erratic numbers all within a 3 minute time frame). So the battery was thought to be the culprit. Instead of buying a battery I bought a wii fit which also said 226. So I bought a new battery and guess what...226. I just hope my clothes start to feel looser or something because I need some sort of encouragement from my body.

New here... Male... BeTrueToYou linked me here and I think it'll help a lot. Lets see how this goes.
I just started actively checking my weight after probably a year or two. It's better than i thought but I still really need to do something about it. So since about a week ago I stopped drinking coke (the bane of my existence). As of April 1st I'm 275. And thus begins a long long journey

I was thinking the 219 must just have been wrong, but I looked back at the last week of your posts and see that it went down gradually. That really is bizarre. You couldn't possibly have gained 10 pounds in a day, so either the huge losses you saw for that week or so were scale screw-ups (which would suck, but it could be possible if you weren't eating enough that you weren't actually losing), or something crazy is going on with water retention now and you'll drop it as soon as you figure it out. Do you wear a ring? If so, try the fluid-retention test I posted about up there ^^^.

omigosh I LOVE the charm bracelet idea! so much so that i looked up a pretty silver bracelet on amazon, that's $27, and was perusing the charms on evesaddiction.com. they have the most amazing sterling silver jewlery.
