Hello ladies!!! Its been a while since I checked it but I am still pressing on. I had spring break and its tax season at work so busy busy busy. I havent worked out regularly in like two weeks because I took a week off on purpose but last week ended up having so many errands to run that I caught up on that and rest so this week I am back to my usual routine! I know I gained weight but I am not worried because I took my break. I plan on getting back down to my low of 217 before month end. Have a great day and I hope all is well!

I miss you guys so much

Ona -congrats on making onederland I totally missed that!!!

I'm UP 1.4 lbs today! yikes! buuutttt. . .AF started yesterday, plus I had to get up stupid early for a doctor's appointment this morning, plus I ate out yesterday(stayed well within calorie range, but we all know how the sodium thing goes!). So, hopefully some (or all!) of that will drop off by tomorrow morning. So, 163.2 yesterday, 164.6 this morning.

196.4 this morning. Hoping for good number this week. Last week was rough. So, excited about this week's warm temperatures. Going to have a yard sale this weekend to clear out all the baby stuff. My boys are growing up. Kinda sad but just reminding myself that the baby part might be over but I get to watch them go through the rest of life's adventures now.

Ona: OMG OMG!!!!!! Congrats!!!! I'm so happy for you. I was sitting at my desk at work and I read 199 and said aww! Out loud and everyone was like what? Lol. Yay!!!!

Willow: I did the same thing (WW to CC). The reason I switched was because it was cheaper for me and I didn't understand why I should count to convert, counting calories was a logical thing to do! I love it

Kukkie: I'm right there with you girl! Losing weight can be/get so frustrating. Sometimes I wonder why I even care but I have still been trying to take it one meal/one day at a time. It helped me to reevaluate WHY I wanted to lose weight and think about how much better I will feel once I'm at goal...even though at this rate it take until eternity to get there. Don't give up and try to focus on why you want to lose. hope everything gets better...we are here for you!!

Vix: you're so close to the one hundreds! Please take me with you!!!

I didn't weigh in this morning but feel bloated! Today our biggest loser challenge starts at work. Someone recommend keeping a blog for the 8 weeks so I'm going to try it.

My NSV for this weekend!! I COMPLETED MY FIRST 5k race!! I felt like a champ afterwards!!! OMG so wonderful and inspiring!!

Angie look at my stats now they are steadily going up. I know a lot of it has to do with TTOM but it stick sucks. Great job on the C25K.

FitGirly, I'm a day late but chat away.

Carter I hate those puffy days and it's amazing how you (I) notice it now where as before I'm not sure if I did or not

Bullet you'll do it by May ... sending :goodvibe: good job on the 1.6 down

Hi Pamatga 2.2 down ... way to go

Paradise I am in the same boat ... numbers are going up and now that you say it I haven't been getting my water in ... Thanks!

Gale congrats on your new low

Twin this is a very busy thread, LOL. Best of Luck on your run And ditto what Angie said.

Hey Aimee and Repto good job on the .2, I'm hoping to drop when TTOM goes away Repto hope you're feeling better.

Star your day sounds like mine daily but I am attempting to change that 3 to 4 hrs of sleep is killing me. My fingers have been swollen the last few days too but I think it's just TTOM

Hi Diana

Willow good job on the 1.6 down welcome to calorie counting, I did weight watchers years ago. I like calorie counting better I think

Hi DixC

Sept15 good job on the 1.0lb down

Coondocks, gotta love TTOM

Hi Madame

Aw Kukkie BIG BIG I've been there but I don't think I gave up, I'll just call it slacking off for me and now I am back ... it took several months but I'm here

Hi Ona I just love your WORDS ...

Vixsin that's the way I feel about my house ... time to take control again I need to get back to meal planning it sure helps and keeps me from messing up. You all are so inspiring, all the way around

CoCo 3.4 down for the month you're doing great

Hey Shylah

Kristi good job on the 1lb down

Hi Arctic, Matilda, Eclipse, Lostangel and Ophelia

Congrats Cutie on your NSV

whoo finally caught up busy busy busy here as usual. My numbers are rising but I have officially picked today to eat correctly eventhough I ate pretty poorly after my weigh in this morning. I felt really good at Curves/Zumba this afternoon and refuse to mess it up. The scale was also better to me after the workout. My last year walking buddies want to start walking again so I am excited. I NEED to walk it gets things into perspective for me. TTOM is really heavy this month and my left side lower abdomen is hurting this afternoon just out of the blue. I am so tired of different pains, ughhhh!! I have a 32oz cup of water sitting beside me and I am hoping to get through it so that I can start on the second. My water intake has been really bad for awhile now but like I said I have chosen today to officially start logging and counting again. YAY ME!!!

My weight this morning when I came home from work was 179.8 and then 178.0 after Curves so since coming back to the thread on 3/11 I have gained 5 to 6.8lbs. I want to be at least at 170 by the end of the month.

2/28 - 224.0

1. 225.6 (+1.6)
2. 222.7 (-2.9) Finally a whoosh. I was so worried that having pizza last night would cause a gain like it did last month, but instead, YAY!!!
3. 222.6 (-0.1) Didn't expect much after my whoosh, just happy it didn't go up.
4. 222.2 (-0.4)
5. 222.0 (-0.2) I guess slow and steady wins the race. I am happy though to see it going DOWN and not up.
6. 220.6 (-1.4) Sick today but happy with the weightloss. Has soup (sodium central). Probably be up tomorrow but at least I already know why.
7. 220.6 (0.0) Same weight. Still sick.
8. 224.6 (+4.0) Ugh I absolutely HATE being sick.
9. 222.0 (-2.6) YAY! The weight I gained when I was sick is starting to come off.
10. 220.6 (-2.0) Thank god! I was so worried that the 220.6 I had days ago was a fluke. This is now my lowest weigh so far.
11. 220.4 (0.2) Did not actually sleep because I work nights and had a AM appointment that I could not reschedule.

Okay, I am back for a quick catch-up on personals and my update. I didn't get a chance to post here yesterday, but I'd gone up 0.2 for my WI yesterday. However, I am happy to see that I came back down -1.0 to settle in at 242.4 this morning. Whew! I was a little worried, because I got the cooking bug last night and ended up making some crushed roasted potatoes with fresh garlic, olive oil and basil, and a little lemon spinach couscous with a Quorn veggie cutlet on the side. Garnished with raw baby spinach leaves and lemon wedges. Simple, but very yummy and filling! I kept it portioned correctly though, so I'm thinking that helped mitigate the carbiness.

However, I will be going to a buffet-style restaurant tonight, so I hope I'm able to keep myself in check for tomorrow's weigh-in. I figure I will just look at it as having a nice variety of a few small things, instead of a no-holds-barred feeding fiasco like it may or may not have been in the past, lol.

-------------------------------------------

Starbrite - Sounds like you had a good time, and you did a great job still resisting temptation!

Liz - Nice loss!

Coon - At least you know it's just TOM picking on you, all will be well soon!

Madame - You're almost there! As soon as this fluctuation breaks, you'll probably drop right down into the 160s.

Kukkie - Don't give up! Just know that, even when our weights are being fickle with us, we are making ourselves healthier each and every day we make the choice to keep going and make better decisions. Just being here and trying is more than what a lot of people can say for themselves. You're doing a good job.

Bulletproof - Very nice drop back down; good job and good luck with TOM!

Pamatga - It's coming back off very well, just keep at it with all the water.

Shylah - Incredible, who knew that a body could experience such varying and vivid reactions to the properties in our food? Definitely made me more interested in reading about such studies and tests that have been done. I'm sorry it was such an ordeal for you, though...that must have been so shocking for everyone concerned, especially you.

Gale - Congrats on the new low!

Twinmom - Good luck on your run, and you certainly got our attention...hopefully TOM heard ya, too! Haha.

Matilda - Good to see you pop back in for a bit.

CutieCourt - Congrats on finishing your 5k, that's awesome! I'm hoping to be able to say the same sometime this summer, but we will see. I'm excited for you! Also, have fun with the BL challenge and keeping your blog...good luck!

-------------------------------------------

To anyone I skipped, I'm sorry and to you, too! Have to cut this here for now to go start getting ready. Congrats on all losses, and stay strong to anyone who may be struggling today.

I'm up .8 today. Yesterday was on plan, on calories and I exercised, so I'm sure this is just temporary...I'll wait it out. I'd really like to see a number lower than 219 though...sheesh. I'm waaaay under calories today, I missed breakfast and at a super light dinner. I'm not hungry, but I've only eaten about 600 cal so not sure what to do...I'll eat something, but want to choose carefully.

Starbrite -- Sorry about the gain, yes, that much overnight must be the 'hangover' effect....it won't stick around for long.

Diana -- I hope the allergy tests went well...if I keep reading I might find out!

Willow -- Good idea to shake things up a bit, good luck with calorie counting.

Kukkie -- Please stick with it....don't give up. Are you journaling your food anywhere? Would it help to do an analysis of the content of your food if calorie counting isn't working? Doesn't your elliptical get here soon?

Roxy -- I'll check out the NB store. I used to wear Nike a lot, and there is a warehouse sale here, I'll check that out too. I just found out that the price of the flights for my cruise has doubled since I last checked, so I'm pinching pennies where I can

Vixsin -- Yoga sounds good. I keep meaning to make time to do some yoga or pilates but never get around to it. I'll have to make a date with myself.

Bulletproof -- Great job on your loss today! I bet the 30DS is paying off, but just not the very next day.

Roxie -- Wow, I didn't realize that you could have such strong reactions. I keep wanting to take my DS to an allergist, but my doctor keeps pushing back not to do it. He's just always stuffed up, and I do see behavioural changes with some foods, so your post makes me even more determined to get a referral.

Paradise -- I have my pitchfork, where do we meet?

Twinmomma -- Good luck with the long run tomorrow :luck:

Ophelia -- Good job on the pound!

Court -- Congratulations on the 5K!!! That is awesome, great job!

Rennie -- Thanks! Don't worry, weight loss hasn't been your priority for a while, you'll be back on track in no time. Checking in here always helps me stay the course.

Hi Everyone! Thanks for all the good wishes for my Dr. visit.

ShylahEQ Thanks for sharing your information with us. Unfortunately, I didn't have a reaction to my tests.

Today was my allergy testing. Well, guess what? I still don't know any more now than I did before. It's very frustrating. They did a full seafood test and they tested me on the extra foods that I was suspicious of. Nothing! No reaction what so ever.

Last week I bought a large container of mushrooms. I ate them over the course of 3 days in my morning omelet. Since then I have been dealing with a small allergic reaction. I was told that normally fresh mushrooms are treated with sufites.

On to my suspicions of glucosamine. Glucosamine can be in the form of Glucosamine sulfate. I have changed over to a vegetarian glucosamine (because I thought it was a shellfish allergy), but it has MSM in it. The (S) in MSM is sulfur. I have a call into the allergist about this. I don't know if Sulfur, Sulfites, and Sulfates are in the same family. The Allergist told me that they don't have tests for Sulfites because they react differently than foods. I think I am going to eliminate my vegetarian glucosamine in the mean time. I did a search online and found a vegetarian glucosamine without MSM or sulfate. I might try that.

The Allergist feels that I am not allergic to fish. I had fish tonight for the first time in 6 months or so. It was really good. Hopefully I don't have a crazy reaction in the the morning.

Hopefully I don't gain 3 pounds overnight and wake up with Octomom lips!

Maybe I am a step closer to knowing what it is though. Maybe it's something with Sulfites/Sulfates/Sulfur. If anyone knows anything about this type of allergy, please share it with me. I will appreciate the information.

House cleaning was a success today! The living room looks great! Tomorrow's project is the kitchen! Got a little Yoga in and it was good stuff!! I'm going to try a flexibility Pilates workout tomorrow
