Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: My biggest hurdle is to stop making excuses to myself and stop lying to myself. Keeping myself on track and caring about me.

Following any specific plan: I am calorie counting and keeping a food journal and so far that is it.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I have only tried losing weight once before (and I was not all that overweight) I was able to do it no problem, this time around I have gained so much weight its hard to know where to start.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I hate what I look like as I am sure others who have more than 100lbs to lose will understand. I hate that I tell myself things like, oh I will start tomorrow, or ugh, I'm just to busy to go to the gym. I am trying very hard to change my overall mindset, and prioritize what is important, like living to see my kids have kids and being able to actively partake in their lives

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Excercising and fried potatoes

Following any specific plan: Weight Watchers worked when I was 22, Low Carb (like 20 grams per day) worked when I was 48, generally now, want to eat healthier, less processed foods, and exercise, but not have absolute stringent guidelines that are impossible to follow forever.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Perspective! And I think I finally resolved the gastrointestinal issues I've been having (Yay!!!) - so it's time to see how this works out.

Anything else you would like to share with us: About this time last year (May 2013), I realized the gastrointestinal difficulties I had been having were not normal and they seemed to be getting worse, so I gave up gluten (99.8%) for the past year. That seemed to improve things somewhat (although I didn't lose any weight). Then I gave up my diet Pepsi **sniff** (and diet Coke), and then I gave up dairy **Ouch! Dairy made low carb so much more livable**. Then I stumbled upon an article on probiotics about a month ago, and after doing a bunch of research to discover what makes a good probiotic and taking these for a few weeks, I decided it was time to reintroduce some foods… So, over the last few days I've discovered I can again eat gluten, dairy and other foods that were giving me issues. (I’m not going back to drinking diet soda though – that was a good thing to quit!)

Following any specific plan: Calorie counting and making sure to get minimum 30 minutes 5 days/week of walking. Also need to get back to Curves.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: This time - slow and steady, no fad diets, no diet gimmicks, no starving myself, etc. Not being overly restrictive with calories to the point that I am so hungry, I go into binge mode.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I am a relatively happy and content person. Lots to be thankful for in my life.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: The biggest thing was facing my food issues. I had a therapist who made me accountable for my "failures". She told me "You do know, that foods not going to love you back right?"

Anything else you would like to share with us: I am smaller than I have ever been in my adult life. I keep reaching for the XL or the 2XL when a size 8-10 actually fit me.

Biggest hurdle: gosh, so many things. I suffer from anxiety so for me that's probably the biggest obstacle. And time. I work shift work and I find planning my food and exercise difficult.

Following a plan: no actually. I have no plan. That sounds horrible lol. I plan to have a plan. Does that count? Let's say I'm between plans at the moment because the previous plan was not working out for me. I plan to plan. Yes.

What is different about your weight loss efforts this time: well I successfully lost 105 lbs a few years back. I was 305 and went down to 200. And it took a couple of years to do it. Then just after hitting 200lbs I got a new job caring for adults with disabilities. Hardest and most rewarding job. That changed my routine and instead of adjusting I abandoned it. I know now that I need to be able to make those adjustments when life changes. I also know more now about food and nutrition and exercise than I did back then. So I feel I'm more prepared.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Accepting that I need to make this change. I am a very self confident person and until recently never saw my weight as a problem. When I passed 300lbs it was a wake up call that I am no longer as healthy as I thought I was.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I am finally starting to see myself as a fat girl. What I see of myself in pictures and in the mirror does not reflect what I feel on the inside. I am tired of being tired all the time. My man appreciates a curvy woman but recently he has been hinting that I have gotten bigger than I was when we met (which I have).

Anything else you would like to share with us: My man also is trying to lose weight (he is 6'6'' and well over 300lbs- ideally he should be about 250) He is gluten intolerant and lactose intolerant (which is why we go paleo) but he refuses to believe he needs to excercise and tells me I need it more and therefore we don't get out and walk or hike much (which I do love to do.)

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I feel myself getting more unhealthy. My sons are in high school and I need to be a good example for them. I have a lot of being a wife and mother left to do!

Anything else you would like to share with us: I have a tendency to be my own worst enemy. I am very hard on myself and need to allow myself for "bad days." I don't want to give up after I do have a bad day. I need to be accountable and remember that I deserve to be healthy!
