What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I want to be able to stick with it rather than to almost get to my goal and fall back into old habits and gain all of the weight back and then some.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: PCOS (most of my fat is in my stomach area and it is SO hard to get rid of it there), exercise limitations due to a semi-weak heart, bad back, bad hips, bad foot.
Following any specific plan: General low carb eating. Current limit is 80g of carbs a day, will lower that as needed later on.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I don't know. I just woke up one day and realized that life is way too short to be in constant pain and worse, hate yourself. I love my life, but I hate how I look and feel. The only thing keeping my life from being absolutely amazing is my weight and how I see myself. I will not allow that to be the case anymore. I am no longer willing to hate myself when I know I deserve better. I am no longer willing to be unhealthy and in pain when I know it is not necessary. I just...woke up one day and realized (for the first time in my life, emotionally as well as logically) that I deserve to be happy.
Anything else you would like to share with us: As of today the first 5 pounds are gone! Woohoo!

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: This support group. I am starting at a time where there will not be a lot of family get togethers after the second week which will help me to stay on track for longer.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past:Haven't dieted for about 7 years , this time is different after having being hooked up to and ECG (mortifying) and being sent to a heart specialist at the age of 32. I'm supposed to be a responsible mum who would run through fire for her children and Ive risked them being without me just because of my love of food !! Also would just love to walk into a room feeling awesome

Have been stalking this site for a couple of weeks and thought I should get my big behind on here. Any extra support you can get while doing something like this is something you shouldn't shy away from so here I am ...eeeeek .
Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Snacking and overeating when I am stressed or sad. Not getting enough excercise in the winter months (it gets dark and cold here!). Developing new recipes, especially baking....and eating too much of the results!
Following any specific plan: Exercise, generally keeping track of calories, trying to keep a journal.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I was so surprised to see how high my weight had gotten. I began to notice I was tired, and not getting things done as quickly or effortlessly as I had done in the past. I got tired of only having a few outfits, and having a dresser of clothes I was not wearing. Most importantly, I don't want to go into my 40s so heavy and face health risks.
